Thoroughly Poetic and Thankful Thursday #144

SHE SAID....
Lets go shopping
I said, I think not
Oh come on it'll be fun
I said, I'd rather wear stilettos
on an uphill run...in the snow
Oh come on she said, you might find
something you need.
I said, there is a creed
by which I live....
I don't need anything
that requires me to be in a sea
of people looking for a deal.

Thankful Thursday hosted by

My furry Tabby Nephew, Kat, asked me to please thank everyone
for your very kind comments yesterday.   RE: his Whiskers...they his tail wag and his Mom's heart proud.

Thank you to everyone for your compliments on my header.
I use piZap for editing.  They recently made some 'improvements'.
This old gal might have been kicking and screaming as she learned them.
Thankful that I kept working with it.
The border caught my eye (might have been the red). After some hide and seek I found Christmas Borders.
The adorable gnome under the 'water color" section of the stickers section.

  1. "I'd rather wear stilettos, on an uphill run...in the snow". Gail's feelings exactly.
Nobby is looking forward to a run in the snow later today, but neither he nor Gail will be wearing high heels!

  4. amen sista! no seas of people for me. when our town has the seafood festival down town, it looks just like this and someone asked me why i have never been? oh my! crowds are not my thing. it is always a struggle when they add or subtract or change things, but you know I love figuring it out... Pic Monkey has no borders, which is strange. about stilettos, when I was 18 yes, has been a big no, for 30 years now. SNow? i love that line, what is a hill? ha ha

  5. Congratulations that you stuck with it and made that beautiful Christmas header. I really do not like anything computer related so I'm lucky that I read blogs and post a very simple one for us.

  6. Well ... ditto, girl! High heels, crowded shopping malls, uphill runs? Never. Not. Can't even remember when those things "might" have been in my life (another life)! Of course, making pictures, well, that's a whole 'nother thing for us, do it a lot ...

  8. OhMyGosh, I had to renew my piZap subscription this month and had not used it for a while. Improvements... it's crazy. I am familiar with Photoshop Essentials but have not used it in a long time...It helped with piZap improvements but seriously I think they could have kept it more user friendly and a much more simple transition to find things... Design Simplified? That being said it is still a fun editing program.
I think you know your poem is exactly how I feel... great words for shopping now!

  9. Whew! That would not be fun at all. The shoes or the shopping.

  18. I just love your poem AND I love that you figured out how to use Wordpress' "often indecipherable" instructions for making your own borders and headers. I have used the same "theme" of theirs for years....maybe I'll get brave one of these days and try to figure out how to do my own! I also love your poem - it made me giggle all the way through.

    Hugs, Pam
