Happy Tuesday with Kat and Rocky

  • feeling or showing pleasure or contentment:

Thank you to our

 Hostess Sandee at Comedy Plus

Dearest Auntie HiC

We got mail from Japan!!

It smelled a little different!!

Every year Mom exchanges Christmas cards with one of her all-time favorite students, Fusako, in Japan. Mom taught Fusako in 1990-1991, while her Dad was working in the United States.

This year Mom received an email from Fusako in December saying her 'Christmas Card had been returned to Japan because she forgot to add USA in the mailing address. Fusako said she was very embarrassed to make a mistake sending mail to her TEACHER' ๐Ÿ˜น

Mom told her not to worry. However, Fusako resent the card.  It looks like she used origami to fold a new envelope out of a larger one!!๐Ÿ˜ป

Fusako's cards are always unique and special. Fusako also included an adorable ๐Ÿถmini note.

Lovingly your adoring feline Nephews Kat and Rocky,

Dearest Kat and Rocky,

I recall Mom telling me that Fusako came to visit her several years ago too.  Her one request was for Mom not to prepare any meals ahead of time because Fusako wanted to cook with Mom.

  4. The Japanese have their own way of doing things and it is always special. They are a very polite group of people. Mom spent a lot of time in Japan when she was flying years before any of us were even born.

  9. That is a lovely card. I had a card returned to the UK this Christmas saying it was undeliverable to the address. I checked and it was 100% right. Most annoying!

  10. Kat and Rocky,
Those Japanese cards are very special and yes, leave it to the Japanese for putting attention to details!
    They're true masters at that.
Enjoyed being a chaperone to Japan and experiencing their culture in 2007.
    Hugs,
    Mariette
