Madi was all about fun and pawticipation. She was the ultimate Pawty Girl
I'M READY FOR SLED DAY
I HAVE ON MY NEW TOBOGGAN
AND MY BEST FUR COAT.
I AM BEYOND THRILLED TO BE A PART OF SARGE'S
Since this was my first time in the snow and on a sled, I
asked Sarge if I could (thanks Sarge for providing such a
great ride) try a cafeteria tray first.
After a few trips down the kitty slopes, I felt confident enough
to hop on this Arctic Ice Breaker to do some serious sledding.
OMDS/OMCs you will never in a gazillion years guess how
COOOOOOOOOOL THIS RIDE WAS!!! MOL

Chris, ONE OF THE FORMER GRADUATE STUDENTS MOM WORKED
WITH IS WORKING IN THE FIELD OF BLUE ICE. HE SENT MOM
THIS PICTURE OF HIS TRIP TO THE ARCTIC.
HE IS ON THE RIGHT USING A HAND DRILL TO GET CORE ICE.
Side note today:
I loved working with all the students at NCSU. Chris is originally from
Germany. He received his PhD and is now in Norway.
ooh we love the dica maddy story... and sarge... oh what a wonderful time we had.... and the mama is happy to know how to make a diy toboggan with a tray LOL

ReplyDeleteI guess some Brave scientist has to get out in that frigid cold for testing. Just glad it's not me because it gives me the shivers. Your angel riding on a tree in the snow was cold enough, lol.
ReplyDeleteMom would love to visit Antarctica, but that will never happen. Cold and snow and is her thing, not this horrible warm winter we are having.

now that tray is the best of all sleighs. my brother used to ride down the mountain on pieces of linoleum. not so the fearful me. brrrr on the core ice in the artic.. the photos looks really really COLD..

ReplyDeleteHAHA! Madi on a lunch tray - now that's my kind of sled too Angel Madi! As for working out in the FREEEEEEEZING COLD, I admire anyone who can do that and especially those whose jobs involve that - I have always been super sensitive to temperature......hot and cold. That means I'm rarely "comfortable" in any kind of weather!
