Awww Monday from my Nephews

We thank our Hostess Sandee at Comedy Plus

A couple days ago Mom noticed a ๐Ÿป paw print on the walkway.

So, she wasn’t surprised to see ๐Ÿป under the bird feeders today.

Morning Ms. Kit...I come in peace...I just need a cool place to rest and OMBs are these empty sunflower seeds yummy
Boo-Boo da Bear

It’s been dangerously hot in our area, and we also have drought conditions.
The wildlife is suffering.
We never feed the bears, & Mom always (eventually) chases the bears away, but they’re comfortable w/ us, so we independently coexist. . (We love oxymorons ๐Ÿ˜น).
There are so many new houses all around us, on 5 ac lots. ๐Ÿ˜ž We want the bears to know our 50 acres will always be a refuge for them.
After all, they were here first.

Enjoy the video below
This bear was licking empty sunflower seeds under bird feeders. ๐Ÿ˜ž
Here on our Mountaing we provide them 400% RESPECT.

❤️ Kat & Rocky

Dearest Kat and Rocky I am so sorry Boo-Boo da Bear and all wildlife are suffering in this horrid heat.  I'm thankful he enjoyed the seeds and I do hope he found water.

Nephews your mom played a Joke on your gullible Auntie HiC.
She first sent me the photo of Boo-Boo  in a text it was a small photo
Mom said: "A stray dog wandered into our yard, David says we can keep it".
Auntie thought was a black Lab...(like Angel Buddy).

Kat here: I must tattle on Rocky when he saw the bear he took off like a Rocket to hide under the bed. I, Kat, was elsewhere that is a story for another day.
A few days later we were looking for Boo-Boo da Bear.
Rocky says he feels very brave when I'm with him

PS LAST WEEK WAS FULL OF SIGHTS, AND SOUNDS AND NEW FRIENDS. STAY TUNED TOMORROW FOR MORE EXCITEMENT.

  2. wow... a real bear... how wonderful... that is super nice to help this big guys out... (we think the mama would scream like an air raid siren if we had such a guest in our backyard)

  3. It is good that the bears co-exist with humans and they have a place to come and rest.

  4. Boo Boo does look like a dog laying down, at first look I thought it was a dog.. this crazy weird weather is effecting all the wildlife, drought and heat and wind and rain, I am happy to hear Boo Boo has a safe place.

  5. Dearest Cecilia,
Well, Kat and Rocky certainly have some wildlife to watch from behind the window—if mustering the courage for doing so.
Licking empty sunflower seeds does not yield anything, neither a drink...
Hoping Boo–Boo da Bear found some water!
    Hugs,

  6. That would be something living with bear in your backyard. And I admit Boo Boo looked like a skinny embarrass I have ever thought. I feel the same way about Wildlife here every time a new house goes up and every tree gets cut off.

  7. Awww, poor bears. We would want to help them out too if we could but with all of us dogs, Mom would worry about having them in our yard.

Bravo for the respect to Boo-boo. Coexistence is a lesson many humans need to learn...YAM xx

  10. Yeah, I wouldn't hang around either. Lol. It's always the non-humans that pay a price for our greed and stupidity, though. We have lots of coyotes in our region and sometimes people get upset when they see them roaming around, but where else are they supposed to go? Unfortunately for any bears, the police are more apt to shoot them than get wildlife control in to relocate them. Fortunately that's a rare occurrence.

  11. It's too bad the bear was so desperate for food that he had to eat the leftovers from sunflower seeds. We have our paws crossed that they will have cooler and wetter weather soon.

  12. I wouldn't bother the bears either. Lots of water for them as they need that the most.

You two are so adorable. We love kitties here.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hug my friend. ♥

  13. That poor bear. It must be awful for all the forest animals with all this heat.

  15. We feel bad for the wildlife that is having issues with this horrible heat but I'm with you, Rocky - RUN!

  16. I'm not sure I would be comfortable with a bear in the yard but we deal with alligators almost daily. We have a Bobcat that cuts through our yard to get to the other side of the preserve and we give him total respect. So, I guess it's what you are comfortable with. I think it's good the bear feels safe and you are prepared to give the bears refuge. I like your coexist concept, Kat. I probably would have been right behind Rocky! This heat just has to break... fingers crossed.

  17. That is a big paw print. We are pretty mad at the bear that stripped our blueberry bushes. XO

  18. WE get bears here too...Black Bears...and I give them a wide berth. We have many other wild critters too. But bears are not something I go out to greet.

  19. That big pawprint would have scared our Mom and she would run to hide under the bed too if she could fit:). BOL

He is a beautiful bear and looks very healthy. We hope he and his friends find ways to survive and live peacefully far enough away from the humans.

  20. Oh my goodness, what a surprise and isn’t he the most gorgeous bear? I’m sorry you are also dealing with this horrid weather. It’s very hard on the wildlife too. I always leave the birdbath full of water and I have a couple of dishes the animals can easily reach on the deck, and they are in the shade so hopefully it won’t get too hot for them. It’s lovely that you can all coexist and a lot of land for them. I loved Boo-Boo da Bear’s video. Loved reading those letters too. I had a good chuckle at the black lab. And I smiled at dear Rocky taking off. Looking forward to reading all about the story for another day also. You all have a safe and happy week and thanks for the smiles and sending lots of hugs.

  21. I'm so glad you are nice to the bears and hope they stay afraid enough of people to avoid actual contact.

  22. I recently learned that the brown bears we have around here aren't nearly as dangerous as black bears! Y'all be careful while you continue to try to give some relief from the heat.
