October 26, 2024 we went back...the food is always delicious...but this time we dined inside.  The art/photography work is by local artist. The tables and booths are very comfortable (outside dining was a bit challenging.

The chairs were too low for the table.  We could have used booster seats.

My lunch was a combo half a tuna sandwich and a side of pasta.  Very delicious.

Bryan selected their signature Fried Green tomato BLT with pimento cheese

Here is a description of the sandwich.

  1. The food looks yummy but they need to sort out those seats.

The inside does look more inviting although I still think it's a bit fast-foody... Albeit better menu! YAM xx

  5. that looks super great!! and we love that they have benches to sit too... the mama once was in a shack named tomato (not green a red one LOL), her shoe laces and the legs of such a high barstool were suddenly connected and as she tried to leave she landed on the floor and the furniture stuff too... it was the furst date with a guy who disappeared to nowhere after that evening....so it was quasi a double date... the furst and the last... :o)

  6. Dearest Cecilia,
Glad you enjoyed your second visit and choice!
The seating does not look that inviting—would not be able to endure it.

  7. Both of your lunches look tasty. Also looks like a nice seating area inside. I've found that in a lot of places the booths are a little too low for me.

  8. sometimes furniture that looks good just is not comfy. maybe they want it that way to keep people from staying to long and taking up space. I like having local art on the walls . I would like either of the lunches.

  9. Maybe you two could start a job reviewing restaurants for a local paper? The chairs and tables don't look very inviting or comfortable. Maybe they don't want people lingering.

  10. I'm laughing about the booster seat. Actually it's not funny cuz I've certainly set in many restaurants that I need a booster seat and my husband at 6'2 also needs one. I don't know what they think they're doing unless they just don't want us to wear a bib so we can just dribble on the table with our chin.

  11. Pimento cheese has sure become a star! In the past we have had our fair share of pimento cheese sandwiches but pimento cheese everywhere now. Pimento cheese burgers and pimento cheese chicken sandwiches. Going to have to give it a try. I think the Village Deli would be fun for lunch or dinner. But I miss Seaboard. Fun to see your reviews of local eats!

  13. Those both sound like tasty lunches but we can see why those chairs wouldn't be very comfortable. We like the art all around.

  19. That's a great looking place and I love the art on the wall. I see Miss Vickie's chips with the sandwiches. I'll have to try that flavor and what fun that we both have a packet on our restaurant trips. I think I would enjoy yours very much. The sandwiches and the pasta looked delicious! I thoroughly enjoy your posts on the places you go to. Have a great day Cecilia and sending hugs.

  20. That does look good but I agree with the others, the seats need upgraded to fit the tables.

  21. There is certainly some very nice art work there. Maybe they need to add some plush and thick cushions to those chairs.

  23. The food looks delicious! The price of eating out has gotten ridiculous. We took our son Andrew and his girlfriend Jentry out to a lakeside restaurant for lunch last Sunday (nothing special, just a break from cooking) and the bill with tip was about $120 (for 4). Of course that included 2 alcoholic drinks, but not even dessert.
