Feline Friday Flashback

Madi rarely bother the ornaments but my friends this Diva did love bows!!!

Last Friday, (12/6/24) Rosy, Sunny and Beth wrote on their blog that from that day forward they will be dedicating their Nature Friday's
In Memory of... Gail.  What a beautiful idea.  I, too, would like to dedicate mine to Gail and Nobby.
They were the ultimate Nature Ga(i)l and Guy

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo prompt is

Don't cry over spilled milk...they say
My feline posse of three and I agree
THEY of whom they speak never know
We don't cry,

Wordless (kinda) Wednesday

Thank you to our Hostess

Sandee at Comedy Plus

I apologize for the words...just a wee explanation on the photos.

These photos were taken at about 6:45 pm on November 5, 2024. As I walked up our drive way from the mailbox. Our mail used to arrive between 1 and 4 pm.  Now we are lucky if it arrives before we go to bed.

Good news the late arrival was after our landscape lighting came on.
This is our Red maple.  Only about 1/2 of the tree is shown it is huge. The leaves hang on til December sometimes January.

This is our Forest Pansy aka a variety of Red Bud.  The leaves on this tree are the first to start fall each year.  I don't take many photos at night.  I loved how the clouds appeared and the grass was a rich emerald green.

Happy Tuesday Brunch review

Thank you to our

We thank our Hostess Sandee at

 Comedy Plus

A few  weeks ago, we decided to have brunch at First Watch.  This is a new location.

The first....First Watch in our area is located in the former Boston Market Chicken Cafe.  It is a cozy location.  Easy to talk and relax.  Food is good in all of the Frist Watch locations.

As you can see from this photo, the new First Watch is very industrial looking.  High ceilings, duct work exposed and very x 87 hard to hear.

It was packed so hard to get photos w/o people so I gave them happy faces.

This photo was taken at our favorite First Watch several years ago.
I'm show it to you so you can compared the ceilings at both
The first....First Watch in our area is located in the former Boston Market Chicken Cafe.  It is a cozy location.  Easy to talk and relax.  Food is good in all of the Frist Watch locations.

We both ordered Belgian Waffles, Bryan aka Bacon King, ordered a side of bacon and a giant glass of OJ.

The waffles were delicious, it comes with blueberry jam and warm maple syrup.

First Watch coffee if excellent and you get as much as you can drink

...as the cup says better coffee, better world.

We wanted ours in to go cups...'cause we always take some with us.

Huge windows with lovely views
BOL  in between the two windows there are 3 tractor seats framed.  That was fun

Lots of seating including at the bar, inside and lots of outside seating.
I really liked the light fixtures over the bar.

The below photo is of the kitchen area.
That is Bryan's coat sleeve on the bottom right.  It was chilly in there.  High ceilings make it hard to heat too

We probably won't go back to this location.  Just too loud and too busy and too big.
BUT at least we can get the delicious waffles at the other location.
They also have excellent omelets, scrambled or fired egg entree's with hash browns or grits.

Awww Monday from the Georgia Clan

We thank our Hostess Sandee at Comedy Plus

Dearest Auntie HiC

Recently  we had the first fire of the season.

Our weather is going to feel like Winter soon, which means our time on the screened porch is coming to an end. Bummer!!! 😹

So long, Fall! It’s been beautiful!

As a side note, the pianist on the video is George Winston.

If you’re not familiar, check him out! You’ll like him. We saw him at Clemson University so long ago we can’t remember the year.
He performs in socks only, no shoes.

Love from your Niece Cali girl and Nephews Kat and Rocky

Dearest Cali, Kat and Rocky
Your fire is so cozy and WTG Mom got all of you in one photo.
The leaves in the video are breathtaking.
And Auntie does love Mr. Winston's beautiful music.

Madi Flashback 12/8/2010

Madi: C(at) S(leuth) I(nvestigator) Looking for Christmas

We have our tree but the only thing under it is the Choo Choo Train and no presents. Where is Christmas? As you can see the tattle tale ornament is above my head. I have to be careful not to bump it. I've been searching for presents.

Once I saw Mom hide something in her closet...so I thought I'd search high and low for presents
I went in between Dad's shirts but no presents. Hey there Mom did you know Dad had a jar of pennies hidden back here?
Is he saving for a rainy day?

Ummmm what is this I see something up here maybe that is a present
Shucks I can't get up there without ripping all of Mom's blouses. If I do that, I
know there will be no presents for Madi ever again, just sticks and charcoal

Ahhh now this could potentially be a great hiding spot.
Let me see if I get on my tippy toes I can just see inside.
I bet I can jump in before Mom sees me

Yep I made it but Mom saw me on my entire adventure and yep it looks like she caught it
all with the flashy box. I'm sorry to report no presents were found on this episode of
C(at) S(leuth) I(nvestigator). Stay tuned, I'll try again later.
Right now I have to talk my way out of kitty jail.
