Thankful Thursday hosted
Back story
Thankful Thursday
Will is the oldest child of two young folks I meet when they enrolled in NCSU at age 18. I watched their relationship blossom. I attended their wedding and the baby showers for both their children. Will is a delightful young man I've known for all of his 18 years. He recently graduated from high school with honors. They live 3 or 4 miles from us.
Will's thank you note to us had quite the journey. Informed mail service I receive via email told me it on the way. It finally arrived. I have never received a piece of mail with two post marks. First one was in the standard place at the top by the stamp, second one was on the bottom under our address.
His Mom told many of the thank you notes he sent out are being returned with
"incorrect address" in fact the addresses are CORRECT. They have to put each one in a new envelope and another stamp.
Will is pursuing a college degree in sports medicine and nutrition and hopes to become a Physical Therapist
wow what a bummer.... sometimes mailservice is a crazy thing... and mail maybe rhymes with fail? but the thank you not came... and we wish this wonderful young man all the best
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute poem with a good back story. I am glad the thank you note eventually arrived.

ReplyDeleteGracious, quite the adventure post!!! YAM xx
Past due ... postage due???
ReplyDeleteYou just have to be thankful that the thank you cards got delivered. You never know with our Postal Service do you. Love the photo for the poem.
ReplyDeleteSadly, USPS is a hot mess. We sent in a trial entry to a city 25 miles from us. It showed up in the recipients informed delivery after two days but it didn't actually arrive for thirteen days! Mom saw a check from a client in our informed delivery on Monday and it arrived in our mailbox Thursday. They really have problems.
ReplyDeleteYou just never know with the mail these days. A couple years ago I sent out my Christmas cards. My husband's oldest son didn't get his until March.
ReplyDeleteI have informed delivery also. The mailman we have is a bit of a jerk and there are a lot of times when my email says I'm getting one piece of mail and it's just junk. A lot of times that junk mail never arrives. I wonder what he does with it.
I had a package of books come into Jackson then to Crystal Springs. It left Crystal Springs and went to Louisiana - Texas - back to Jackson and finally back to Crystal Springs.
