Nature, Feline and Fill ins Friday

 Nature Friday host LLB Gang

Last week my neighbor had two adorable visitors.  Twin fawns....She lives at the bottom of our cul-de-sac.  When she is away, I water her flowers including the ones you see below.

We think their home is in the woods behind her house.

Feline Friday FLASHB BACK August  2015

MOM went to North Hills Mall on Wednesday and SHE REMEMBERED her CAMERA

3 Cheers for Mom
She saw this crazy C sculpture...so of course she thought CAT....
and this is what we have.

Ellen came up first two wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1.When it comes to making decisions, I decide quickly.
2. Having all the ivy dug up and replaced with low maintenance plants was the highlight of my week.
3. I wish there were actually we about any kind of store we need in our local area.
4. Thanks to air conditioning, I  am not a hot mess.

Extra Nature Friday to show #2 fill in
Before

After we still have some decorating to do but extremely pleased with the results.

Before taken from the back porch

After taken from the street view

Our 'guy' from Lawn detailing and Enhancement also raised the canopy of the trees giving us more light.
There are 4 'huggable' rocks in the pine straw too...not quite visible in photo.
they are called 'huggable' because they are the size of arms that are hugging.

  1. Mom would love to rip out most of our landscaping and start new but no time and she doesn't want to spend money on hiring someone so we will stay with what we have for now. Yours looks great!

  5. The little visitors are so cute. I would have thought cat if I saw that big C sculpture.
Looking good on the landscaping. I wish I could get someone to come take care of mine. I hate going out and weeding and all else that's involved in keeping it looking good. I really need to get out there now but I keep putting it off.

  6. You're going to have a great show piece when you get finished planting on your flowers. What a job you've undertaken. Wasn't Angel Madie I've been jealous of that cat you took a picture of, I mean the metal one, as your sweet angel looks perfect in the bottom of the picture. We have fallen all over the place and they're fun now because they're really not eating anything yet. Just mother's milk.

  7. The twin fawns are so sweet. Lovely flashback of Angel Madi with the C sculpture. That area looks so much better with the ivy gone and the bird bath there.
I wish we had air conditioning. It is 83 already and getting hotter by the minute!

  11. Hahaha, Angel Madi made that sculpture the real deal. Twin fawns are always a treat to see. They almost feel like they bring good luck. Your birds are going to love that new look :) It really looks so nice. Just love the pine needles you use for mulch. The second photo is quite a change. Very pretty!

  16. We love seeing deer around here but worry about them crossing the roads because some people drive like maniacs through our development! We love the new landscaping - WOW - sure did open things up and looks very neat and pretty!!

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

  17. Garden makeovers are so much fun, I miss them so much. North and south, both my (former) homes had gardens I loved to rework in the spring/falls seasons: nothing like getting ones hands down in the dirt! Even weeding seemed fulfilling to me!
