Thoroughly Poetic and Thankful Thursday #253

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo challenge

It was an all you can eat buffet.
My tummy said yummy
I grabbed a plate plied it high
My eyes said OH My
I looked in the mirror
To my surprise,  I saw Little Miss Muffet
Peeping over the mile high pile
with smiling eyes

I am thankful it is THIS Thursday
and not last Thursday when I spent 4 hours at the dentist
Thankful the soreness from 4 hours having 4 hands in my mouth
is no existent.
Thankful our lawn guy Seth came on Tuesday for the first grass cutting of the season
He is so dependable...

  3. Ugh, lawn mowing. Mom likes mowing the lawn but it has to be done so much it makes her crazy. We hope it isn't needed for at least another month or so.

  4. Love your poem and her eyes are definitely bigger than her stomach! We just got rid of our snow so no grass cutting here yet.

I'm glad it's not last Thursday too. That wasn't a fun day for you

  6. Your poem is perfect! I know you'll be glad when your "dental adventure" is FINALLY totally over with. We are a long way from having our first grass cutting event - sadly!

  8. Funny poem to go with a funny picture. Glad your mouth is feeling much better. Up here we have pouring down rain all day yesterday and must have been well over an inch. Had to bring the rain gauge in in the afternoon because now this morning it's 29°. And next week is going to be even worse. However my daffodils are trying to bloom!

  12. The poem is cute! That mound of nachos is nausea-inducing. Lol.

Ugh to the dental ordeal. I've been a couple of hours at a time, but not four. ❤️

Lawn mowing already....We're still getting rid of our snowbanks, though much is gone now, at least until tomorrow's storm.
