  1. Love this picture & your poem! As a retired teacher I’m always delighted to see children who love to read, even under the covers❣️

  6. Actually I used to sneak saltine crackers into bed when I was not yet a teenager, and read a book with a flashlight. Of course mother was never very happy about the situation, lol. Even though she's the one that taught me to read she didn't think I was doing it exactly the right time.

  7. Perfect!! I do miss the days when I stayed up all night with a good book (now, I usually fall asleep after a few pages BOL).

  12. Me too, Lynn and Precious. That sleeve of saltines disappeared while reading...especially with the excitement of Cherry Ames, Nurse!

  17. Nice job with the poem. I'm getting pretty disgusted with WP. Here's a link https://www.lexitheschnauzer.com/ maybe that will help. *sigh*

  18. Loved that! Takes me back to childhood. I used to love reading under the covers with my ‘torch’ as I knew it back then. Hubby swears that’s why we have a hundred of them in every part of the house. I am always saying, as I browse through catalogs, “Look at this one?” Sorry about the WP issues. I had a few times I couldn’t access them a while back but doesn’t seem to be an issue right now, fingers crossed.
