ReplyDeleteThat chickadee family found a prefect 'house'! I hope the nestlings do well.
ReplyDeleteRight now I am trying to get the bluebirds back. Used to come all the time for meal;worms, but now there is a lot more activity at the neighbor's home, where they were in a hole in the huge oak tree there...
On Monday when it was becoming dark, I was the backend of a large woodpecker dive into a hole in a catalpa tree...which is a dead snag, actually with many holes to choose from, LOL! It might have been a pileated woodpecker, it was large and black. Ot maybe a red headed one, we have both here among others, but those two big ones are quite shy, so I will stay away from there, in case they have babies.
Oh, there's nothing better than the sweet sound of birds in Spring! That house is adorable!

Fantastic video of the chickadee! We are so lucky we actually have a birdhouse on our front porch and it too has a chickadee in it. She can't feed her babies fast enough. By the way it's raining here again today, in case you wanted to know, lol.

ReplyDeleteThe mean marauding squirrels ruined our bird feeding- including hummers. Everyone was too afraid to eat here and they destroyed so many feeders. ;-(
