Up high in the sky
my eyes did spy
a bird, a plane or perhaps
ET about to land
Oh My
Then in a nanosecond we came around the corner
lo and behold it was not a space ship
but a most unusual water tower growing right out of the
trees. So tall I could not get it in one pictue.
The just a block to my surprise
another amazing tower growing out of the trees
Not sure what it was but
Boys and girls Nature can surely be strange.

Thankful Madi steered Irma away from you! We slept in basement with Sassy, Buddy & Dakota. No power for several days.

ReplyDeleteA full and fitting post... remembrance is poignant... YAM xx
What a sad day and I can't even imagine what it was like for those directly involved.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the first picture of the water tower it reminded me of one we have by our mall.
What a beautiful post and for a day that we will never forget. What a huge water tower and very pretty as water towers go!
ReplyDeleteAngel Madie he worse sweetheart to be watching for Irma. And who knew that ET was going to float over your mommy's head with that giant spaceship. We will never forget September the 11th.
ReplyDeleteIt is a day Mom will never forget even though she was living abroad at the time. She is glad she had been to and seen the towers years before but it is still something that is hard to imagine even happened.
ReplyDeleteWhat crazy water towers you found, and such a scary fun Madi memory!
ReplyDeleteWe will never forget!

We will never forget the events of this day 25 year ago. I love seeing the flash back and glad that Madi steered Irma away from you.
ReplyDeleteSept. 11th was the most horrible date I have lived. For a while, a week or so, the Country came together. Then, I remember well, the media started faulting Americans for being angry and hurt and leaned heavily on the side of the terrorists and their Countries; and the those of the same blood waking around in this Country...it kept up till this second in time...I stopped reading newspapers from that time on. And listening to network news.
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "We weren't around for 9/11, of course, but our Mama and Dada will never forget it. Our Dada was in a meeting in the only room in the building that had a television, and somebody knocked on the door and said they needed the TV, and that was the end of the meeting. And of any work for the rest of the day."
ReplyDeleteGood Madi! That could have been a cool space ship. Hey, we will always remember, always.
ReplyDeleteLovely remembrance of 9/11 ~ sweet Madi photos too ~ Hugs ^_^
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia to you and Madi ~ ^_^
We will never forget. Hubby and I were both working and there was so much to do and assess. What was going to happen next and where.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day and weekend. Love and hugs to you my sweet friend. ♥
It was a very good thing that you protected the house and your Mom and Dad from Irrational Irma, Madi. I love your little face looking up at the slider door.
ReplyDeleteWe will always remember... September 11, 2001.
A very heartwarming tribute to those lost on 9/11, and thankful to all those first responders. Sweet kitties on the lookout guarding your safety. Interesting shots of the water tower and whatever the other one is. A cell phone tower maybe? I really don't have a clue. If I haven't said it before I love your Fall photo and how lovely it would be to sit at one of those tables sipping on a hot drink with you :)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Denise :)
DeleteWe bet the sight of that first water tower gave you a jolt til you got the full perspective. The second one looks like the descriptions of the alien machines from "War of the Worlds."
ReplyDeleteI have a similar photo from when my hubby and I took a boat tour to The Statue of Liberty. Interesting water tower. And I love seeing Angel Madi. XO
ReplyDeleteMy heart still grieves, this is a cool water tower, and as for Irma, what can I say, named storms scare me.
