TWAS 'TWO NIGHTS' BEFORE CHRISTMAS: BY MADI AND MOM

'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, WHEN ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE NOT A CREATURE WAS STIRRING NOT EVEN A MOUSE

IN HOPES THAT ST. NICHOLAS WOULD SOON BE THERE. THE CHILDREN WERE NESTLED ALL SNUG IN THEIR BEDS, WHILE VISIONS OF SUGAR-PLUMS DANCED IN THEIR HEADS.
AND MOM NOT IN HER'KERCHIEF, AND I IN MY CAP,
 HAD JUST SETTLED DOWN FOR A LONG WINTER'S NAP
 WHEN OUT ON THE LAWN THERE AROSE SUCH A CLATTER, I SPRANG FROM MY BED TO SEE WHAT WAS
THE MATTER

AWAY TO THE WINDOW I FLEW LIKE A FLASH.  TORE OPEN THE SHUTTERS AND THREW UP THE SASH.
THE MOON ON THE BREAST OF THE
 THE NEW FALLEN SNOW, GAVE THE LUSTER OF MID-DAY TO OBJECTS BELOW.
 WHEN, WHAT TO MY WONDERING EYES SHOULD APPEAR, BUT A FREAK WITH A BEAK AND A BRIGHT BLUE HAT.  HE WAS NOT STEADY ON HIS FEET BUT WAS ABLE TO  TWEET THAT HE HAD LOST HIS TAIL FEATHERS AND COULD NO LONGER EAT.
 I LOOKED AT HIM HARD,
 EXAMED HIM LONG, AND FOUND, MUCH TO MY GLEE
THAT HIS TUSH WAS REALLY NOT FEATHER FREE
 HE ASKED ME TO PLEASE GIVE HIM A FLIP
 SO THAT HE ONCE AGAIN HE WOULD BE ABLE TO SIP

TO THIS I AGREED, HE BID ME ADIEU,
BUT I HEARD HIM EXCLAIM AS HE FLEW OUT OF SIGHT....
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT.

Wednesday Words

Yes you have seen me in the chair many times since the tree came into the house...BUT something is different. What is it?
Do you give up?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Apparently, someone who shall remain anonymous, thought the mass of grayness all over the cushion my lovely fur needed to be removed. Over the weekend she gave it a good going over with the pet hair sponge.  She tired to make me think she did this all for me by saying 'look Madi there is a nice soft towel for you'.  I know the real reason and it wasn't for me.
MOM SAID WE NEED TO TIDY UP THINGS
BECAUSE OUR NEXT CHRISSYMAS VISITORS,
Mr. and Mrs. B, aka my sis and her hubby, arrive on
Thursday.
SPINNING STORY: WHAT IS IT?
Fe fi fo fum I smell something fun...
Other than the obvious answer, yarn....
What kind is it?
My friends, IT IS Madi fur spun into yarn...
Mom and I have a very, very, very (to infinity) dear
friend who is also a very, very talented fiber artist. She has a spinning wheel. She told Mom to save the fur from my brush after each brushing. For the last year, Mom has brushed, and brushed, until I was certain I would becoming hairless...
but lo and behold I did not.
What you see below is 70 yards of yarn. The majority is my fur
with a little colored wool mixed in.
I knew it smelled familar!!!! MOL
Not only did our friend spin my fur she made a story book of the progress. Oh my goodness, I wish you all could have heard (maybe you did) Mom squeal as she turned through the pages of this book.
 Below are a few pages out of the book.  On the left
are the bags of fur Mom stole from me.
Here is the finished yarn.
 She left two blank pages in the book.  One is for a picture of
Mom brushing me and the other is for a picture of what Mom
crocheted with the yarn, which Mom will do.
Since our friend is not in the business of spinning yarn, we will not reveal her name.  However, she is in the business of being one fantastic friend with a great big heart.  We thank her from the very bottom of both our our hearts!!!  This package arrived over the weekend and we can truly say it is the most unique gift we have ever received and we will treaure it FOREVER!!
I WAS VERY GLAD TO SEE HIM. I COULD SMELL HIM AS SOON AS HE WALKED IN THE DOOR!!
NOTICE MY BIG EYES AND MY TAIL IN THE SHAPE OF
A ? MARK WHICH IS AN ULTIMATE FELINE GREETING.
AND IF I HAVE MY WAY HE WILL NOT BE STAYING.....
LUCKY FOR MOM AND DAD, MR. H. B. HAM WAS WRAPPED PRETTY DARN TIGHT. I COULD NOT TO GET TO IT. NEVER FEAR, I PITCHED A 'HISSING' FIT UNTIL I GOT A SMALL PIECE.
MOM IS ON VACATION FOR 2 WEEKS....SHE SAYS WE ARE IN FOR LOTS OF TREATS
THIS WAS HER FIRST ATTEMPT AT SCONES.   DAD HELPED!!
THE RECIPE CALLED FOR ROUGHLY CHOPPED FRESH CRANBERRIES. I WATCHED WHILE DAD CUT UP EACH
AND EVERYONE OF THEM.  SEEMS TO BE ALL IN THE WRIST. WELL DONE DAD!!
WHEN THEY CAME OUT OF THE OVEN (boy did they smell good), DAD SAMPLED THEM.
HE SAID,'THESE ARE BETTER THAN ANY SCONES I'VE EVER HAD'!!!
DAD CERTAINLY KNOWS WHO BUTTERS HIS BAGELS AND BAKES HIS SCONES
