TASTY TUESDAY W/ SUGAR

It is Tuesday so it must be
With Sugar
Last week I was NOT tasting ice cream.  Mom was surprised to learn that I don't like ice cream.
This week I'm in the kitchen with Mom snoopervising as she makes
her famous marinara sauce.  Many folks get freaked out by the thoughts of moi on the counter but
as you can see I'm very mannerable. I sit on the side counter while Mom prepares the sauce.

I wait patiently by the electric skillet until all the lovely aromas start to whiff from the vent. Once I have determined she has just the right blend of spices, I give it the Madi sniff of approval.
I move on to the area right about the skillet to see if per chance any of the sauce has splashed up here.
It is very important to keep the kitchen tidy and all spills wiped up!!
Once I have determined Mom has everything under control, my work is done.  Unfortunately Mom did
not get a picture of my dismount because I was too quick.  I gracefully jumped from the counter,  to the bar stool to the floor.
Cooking 101 with Mom went smoothly.  She was an attentive student, followed my directions, kept the kitchen tidy as she cook and most importantly made another delicious meal.  I guess I'll give her an A.
Sincerely,
Madi

  1. Goodness Madi, we had no idea you were such an accomplished chef. Your Mom is lucky to have someone as talented as you to snoopervise and instruct while she cooks. We wonder what our Mom would say if we ALL helped in the kitchen when she cooked? MOL!

  7. You on the counter doesn't bother me in the slightest.

As for folks that it does bother, then they don't need to come to my house....because we have a small pride of lions(kitties) running loose inside.

  8. Madi, we'd love it if you'd teleport over and teach our mom to cook! Though it might be too much for even you to manage. :-P

  13. We are not allowed on the counters here, but we can snoopervise pretty well from the floor. Our picky boy Phantom would probably love that sauce -he loves pasta and sauce, but mom only lets him have a tiny taste of sauce - it upsets his tummy even if he loves it.

Great job in the kitchen, Madi.

  18. You are a lucky kitty Maddi! I jumped on the course once and I thought the Mama was going to have a brain aneurysm the way she flipped out. I just wanted to taste what she was making to ensure it was appropriately season! Geesh! Sounds like your Mama is much more tolerant! Lucky you!

  19. An impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post!
