SKILLS....and Grandma Update

I HAVE'EM, MOM DOESN'T!!
Recently I decided to check out my cat tree after ignoring it for several weeks.  Mom could tell I was about to jump so she
had hopes of getting a mid air photo...but she lacks in hand
eye coordination!!

My catnip pillow was my target but it fell right after I landed

I WILL JUMP TO THE TABLE FIRST
I CAN STOP ON THE DIME!!

Then to the floor..oooops HELLO KITTY REFLECTION
 NOW BACK UP AGAIN

I love jumping...and I love teasing Mom when she is
trying to snap at just the right moment.

FINALE!!! (ALMOST)
MOM JUST MISSED ME FLYING THROUGH THE AIR WITH THE GREATEST OF EASE.
FYI:  THIS POST IS NOT ABOUT MY FELINE FLYING SKILLS
'CAUSE I GOT ME SOME SKILLS FOR AN 11 YEAR OLD!!!
 Mom's skills need serious work!!

UPDATE ************
We thank you all for you inquiries about my G-ma
She has been diagnosed with, Lewy Body Dementia.
Unfortunately, hallucinations go along with this
type of dementia. We hope the new medicines she started will help with these so that she can have some peace of mind.
She awakes at night thinking there are animals in bed with her.  We know this must be very scary for her.

  3. You sure can fly high Madi! I sure hope your grandma's medicine helps her. It wouldn't be too scary to wake up with a kitty or doggie next to you, but I doubt that is what she is imagining.

  8. Madi. Gail always blames the delay on digital cameras for action photo failures...
We are very sorry about G-ma's dementia, and hope with all our hearts that the medication can stop the hallucinations.
    Very best wishes,
    Gail and Bertie.

  9. None of us kitties are young here - we range between 10 and 12 - and we are all very active too! My human had never heard about Lewy Body Dementia before and looked it up online. I am purring that the medications help with your G-ma, especially her hallucinations. That must be awful to have to cope with.

  16. Oh Madi and Mom we are so sorry for your Grandma. We sure hope the medicine will help her. We are sending lots of prayers her way.
And Madi, we got to give the Mom an A+ for effort to get you flying through the air. We thought those pictures are just terrific. That is so hard to do to get you kitties in flight.
Hope you have a great day.

  17. Madi, we just have to say that your mom ought to have picked up your catnip pillow and put it back up on your cat tree. Your servant needs some training.

We're crossing our paws that the meds help your grandma and improve her state tremendously. Purrs and purrayers from us.

  19. Wow, you're such an acrobat! Grreat job. Momma was wondering if you would talk to my kitty siblings about how much fun a cat tree is. She got them one for Christmas, and they ignore it!

  20. you do have some true skills at jumping. i like the one of you on the table with the sunbeams behind you. ask mom if she has sport mode on her camera, both my point and shoots and dslr have sport modes, it will help get the action. look through the menu, bet it is there.
sorry to hear about the dementia. my dad had this and his hallucination was an elevator door opening in his room with scary men getting off, he had that one at home, at the home were he lived in GA at both nursing facilities here, same hallucination over and over. tell mom to watch for worse hallucinations that can be caused by the meds to stop it. that is what happened to daddy, the meds made the hallucinations worse. some people it helps and some not.
what they told me at the memory unit, was to go into their world and act like you see it to, do not tell them they are not there. what i did for daddy was say, ok daddy i shut the door they are gone. so try that, as in the animals are here but they love you or i saw them to but i put them out the door and they are gone. it worked great with daddy.

  35. Madi Oh Madi I could not believe what I saw today. I saw an Ohio license plate that read ~ now get this ~ it read MADI KAT. We had our camera and Lee was trying and trying to get the shot unfortunately the car zipped up on the interstate and we had to stay on the highway. Just like your Mom trying to get you in mid air we failed.

  37. Wow, you are quite the jumper, Madi. Our Mom isn't very good at action shots of us either.

We are so sorry to hear about Grandma. Mom had never heard about Lewy Body Dementia before but she did some reading about it. Our Dad's younger sister may have early onset Alzheimer's, a very difficult time for the family. Their Dad had it too, but he was a much older man.

We hope the meds help Grandma and Mom gets some time to relax.
