THURSDAY THINGS

You would think after 13 years of living with a crazy woman I
would learn to never leave her alone for too long.
Last Saturday I took a nap.  When I went kitchen I noticed
this crazy thing on the window shade....

I MOL'd... Mom come quick there is an alien on the shade.
As I watched with trepidation (there she goes with the $5.00 words), she slowly raised the shade

Lo and behold it was the shadow of the new window mounted
hummingbird feeder.  From April until late September
mom is 100% about the comfort and care of the Ruby-throated
hummingbirds.  She has one hanging feeder but wanted
another.  Years ago she had a window mounted one but the ants found it.  The clear plastic stays mounted to the window, the outer edge of it has an ant moat to keep them from getting to the sugar water.  The sugar water container lifts out making it
easy to clean and add fresh water.

Sometimes dad and I think she loves the hummers more than us!?

  13. I doubt it she loves them more than you and your Dad but it's nice that she takes such good care of them. Cubby has a moat around his food bowl to keep ants away too.

We gave you an award on our blog today. We think someone might have beat us to it though.

    Hugs,
your guy Raz and The Florida Furkids

MOl I thought maybe a little vase or something - which it kinda is... what a pretty thing and so practical.... Now Madi - I too don't think she loves you and dad less - but that her heart is big enough to encompass others in addition to you both. You have a most wonderful servant whom you perhaps need to give the occasional kudos to... (have I earned more than five bucks yet???).... hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

  20. Well, at least it gives you more Bird TV to watch:) Mom has a thingie to hold her sponge that attaches like that to the sink wall - but it de-taches more than it stays attached. She may as well just give up on it.

    Happy Hummer watching.

  30. That will be some fun bird watching! We have a big perennial Fuchsia shrub that the hummers just love. It's fun to watch them on a summer's eve. They are very territorial and get into bird squabbles over that shrub!
We love Longmire too! We just couldn't wait for season 3 on NetFlix and discovered that you can purchase the entire season 3 on I-Tunes for $16. So we purchased it and are streaming from the computer to the TV. I guess Netflix is working on season 4 too...Yippee!!
