Work Wednesday

My buddy Sarge is a hard working K9...
so he decided to start a series called Work Wednesday.
I had no idea how much work goes on around me!!
Boy Sarge this new 'day' of yours has opened my eyes!!

Last Friday our neighbors had 87 a bunch of giant pines
removed from their front yard...
Thankfully most of the equipment was across the street
so I was able to snoopervise

the men at work
they get an A+ for a job well done and for

not hitting our mailbox post.  What you cannot see below
is a bobCAT with a mouth full of limbs turning near our mailbox

LAST AND BY NO MEANS LEAST MOM DID A VERY HAPPY HUMMINGBIRD ARRIVAL DAY DANCE ON 4/9/15. THE LITTLE JEWELS ARRIVED EXACTLY THE SAME DAY THIS YEAR AS LAST AND THEY WERE HUNGRY
THOSE LITTLE JEWELS WORK VERY HARD
THEY JUST FLEW IN FROM WAY DOWN SOUTH
MOM IS ALL EXCITED ABOUT FEEDING THEM THIS YEAR
WE'VE ALREADY SPOTTED 3.
SHE IS TRYING TO FIND ANOTHER PURRFECT SPOT TO SET UP
ANOTHER FEEDER

MOM WILL BE WORKING REALLY HARD ALL SUMMER
TO KEEP THEM FED TOO!!

  1. I love the hummingbirds, they are so beautiful and fun to watch. There is some hard work going on over there. I am tired just thinking about it. I think I will work hard taking a nap.

  7. It's so cool that you have hummingbird TV. We don't have them down here, but our family up in Tennessee used to have dozens visit at once. Does your human make her own hummingbird nectar for them? It's apparently pretty easy and better for them than the stuff with food coloring.

  13. Good work snoopervising from a proper distance. And the bird tv this summer looks to be quite pawsome at your house. Purhaps your Mom might invite one or two inside for you to ... get to know better ?

  18. 87? Really! OH My that was a lot of tree removal. Mom wishes we could get rid of our pine trees which are about the same height as the ones in your neighborhood.

  19. We just LOVE hummers too!!!! Every time we've had a feeder, we've had a wasp problem though so Mom plants things that hummers can feed from - usually with RED flowers - so they're happy and well fed without attracting those icky wasps!

  21. We like those little birds but we didn't see any bobCAT. Do bobCATS eat pine trees?

  23. We love hummers but none of them visit us here in Florida. We're too close to the ocean and the wind is too strong here :(
