First Year White Ibis changing into White Plumage
I feel extremely fortunate to have seen this beautiful creature.

When it comes to shore birds, I must admit to being an amateur birder.  I would like to thank my friend Kathy for identifying  these birds for me.  For nearly 5 years, she and her husband traveled in an RV all over the USA and Canada Birding!! They blogged about all they saw here and even made it to NC to meet us!!

OMCness, that egret took over from the chicken - or maybe it was showing the chicken how to do it..... but then (photo three) came the splat.....brrwhwhwhwwhw.... sorry! The angle against that tyre track just made it look so 'landing'!!!

Ibis are very elegant birds... Golly Madi - your mom did great here!!! Huggies, YAM-aunty xxx

  11. Love your great captures! I too am an amateur but about most birds, not just shorebirds! I depend on my more serious birder friends for help, a lot! Aren't they sweet to be there for us! Loved that first shot. It was screaming for the caption "Just takin' a stroll!" :-)

  19. The water birds fly over the house going to our creek to fish. It's hard to see them in the creek cause it twists and turns.
