Madi Moon Fog

The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

Don't you just love that poem!!  We do!!
For those who have never been in a room as a cat enters...we are very very quiet
UNLESS we (me) are hungry and someone (TOGM) has not prepared our food.
PS crazy mom says the title of the post sounds like an Native American Indian Name
Madi Moon Fog.  MOL

  5. The head peep loves that poem! She sometimes asks us why our little cat feet are more like a herd of elephants than silent like the poem.

  7. Hi Mads, we are finally back online, sheesh!
We do love that poem. We get a lot of fog, living on the coast.
What a sweet photo of you on your mum's lap.

  13. Well, Madi Moon Fog...I thought maybe your mom changed your name or something before reading this. I love that poem! Your mom did pretty good taking photos of the moon too.

  14. That poem is a great description of Fog coming in! Love it, because we have lots of it on the coast. It sneaks in and a few minutes/hours later we are in brought sunshine! Thank you Madi Moon Fog.

  16. That is a favorite poem of mine, Madi! I remember when I was a girl, we had to choose some poems and illustrate them, and I drew a picture of a kitty sitting and watching the fog for this poem. :-) I hope you have a beautiful day, Madi Moon Fog!

  18. Hey, that's what the moon and the next day looked like for us, too! We like the fog because we like trying to see things pop out of it, like squirrels and other cat visitors, always so silent, so quiet.

  19. Dear Madi: We are starting to see some of your personality in our own EL's personality also, she likes us when she likes us, and loves us all the time, but still likes to keep her distance and it is always her choice to sit by us....now Henri is another story, he is always napping with dad or laying on moms lap. Two very different personalities....Mom will post pictures this week, hopefully stella rose

  21. We love that poem, though, two cats racing around aren't anything like quiet fog. Our cat cousins in VA have been called the Rolling Thunder....bwahaahaa!

Great photo Madi Mom. SHE usually messes us those photos.

  23. We didn't want to come inside the nights of that full moon:) Ciara used to walk like cat, very lightly on her paws and you might not even hear her coming. But she is still dragging her back feet from that darn medicine. That really IS a great poem that has been so popular for so very long.

No fog here today, just bright sunny skies and delightful temps.
