Nature and Funny Feline Friday

Hosted by my Niece Rosy, and her 2 brudders Arty and Jakey HERE

Things are blooming

One of our new neighbors, about 2 blocks away, is a beekeeper. I wish you could have seen the beez buzzing.
Q:What goes zzub, zzub?
A:A bee flying backwards. LOL

Q:Where do bees keep their money?
A:In a honey box

Q: What's more dangerous than being with a fool?
A: Fooling with a bee!

This was good information too.  Last summer a swarm of honey bees
took over my hummingbird feeder.  If that happens this year,
I'll call the bee keeper.

Story #1

We talk to our daughter and son in law every Sunday about 4:30.  Of course I always need to know what my grandcats have been doing.  Sunday February 4th she had has cackling with the latest stories.
About a year ago she bought a new iPad for herself, like all good mom's she gave the old one to the furries and loaded a few cat games on it.  Frisco was immediately infatuated with the game.  Mia purrty much turned up her nose and high tailed it away.  Since Hurricane Florence, their home has been undergoing some repairs/renovation. Everything thing has been topsy turvy so the iPad was put away until last week when the renovations were 95% completed.  She got the iPad out and set it to Frisco's game to keep him entertained/out of her face while she is eating breakfast.
So there she is eating breakfast and Frisco is 200% engrossed in his iPad when all of a sudden she hears,
"Hello you have reached AAA road side assistance, please leave your name and number at the beep".  Well needless to say, this got her attention. When she grabbed the iPad, she saw that Frisco had somehow gotten into
FaceTime  and dialed AAA.  She was laughing so hard it her husband came out of the bedroom to ask what in the world was so funny.
Granddaddy was quite impressed he has no clue how to even turn the iPad on much less use FaceTime
I see the left bubble isn't clear, it says Hey Frisco it is your granny.  I want to confirm a story your Mom
told me.

Story #2
Later that same week in the evening she set the iPad to Frisco's game.  He was once again playing with the iPad on the bar.  His Mom, Dad were sitting in their chairs and Mia was in her Dad's lap.   Frisco seemed to be a wee bit aggravated with the iPad.  His mom got up to see what was wrong.  She called his Dad over to see what was on the iPad.  Frisco had opened an email from last year to their pet sitter.  Frisco was frantically tapping at the screen trying to find his game but instead he was putting all kinds of crazy letters in the reply.  His mom and dad were giggling which woke up the Princess. She was a bit annoyed that Frisco was getting all the attention so she sashays over to check out the commotion.  Now I'll let Mia finish the story.....

Before my daughter gave Frisco the iPad, she 'thought' she turned  everything.  She went back
into the settings to make sure FaceTime and Email were disabled.  She said next thing she knew Frisco would be in the Apple Store ordering new Cat games.

  3. how great that the flowers are on the way back... we hope that is the sign that winter is on the way back to northpole ;O))) I was blue eyed and thought dogs can play games like cats on that pad... but that is sadly not true... well at least the new pad has some interesting new features ;O)))

  4. Very pretty flowers indeed. Sheesh- iPads, facetime, Apple store- waaay too much technology for this old girl. Oh, and I love Mia's hanging arm pose. Dad's got a photo of me like that he's gonna put in an upcoming post. Happy weekend still-kinda-neighbor.

  5. Clearly, Frisco is a very modern cat! And I can see how a beekeeper would make a very useful neighbor.

  8. When we had an IPad, we had some cat games but the cat's were not very interested. I, as a puppy, loved the games and would play them and have a lot of fun. Your flowers look very springy.

  12. thank for the laugh out loud moments. just to funny... I would never have thought of giving the ipad to the cat. and now I am jealous, I have always wanted one and now a kat has one and I don't.. he he he on ordering more games, it could happen. I am not a fan of bees and I know we need them, but I am very happy that these bees are not near me. we do have a bee on every flower on both powder puff trees, and when it is cold they get drunk and fly into us. I wish they were not there but I leave them alone.. stinging things are not my friends.

  15. Thanks for sharing your flowers. It will be a long time before we see any blooms around here. Those kitty stories were too funny. We think your daughter should at least set up the cat iPad to be able to face time with you. Wouldn't that be fun to be relaxing with a game of Words With Friends and get a call from your favorite kitty?

  21. Ahhh ... the promise of warmer weather! My uncle was a beekeeper. I don't even know how many hives he had - but I remember helping him package the honey for sale. Good stuff! I kind of miss it!

  22. Beautiful blooms...I am anxious to see some around our place. I am laughing out loud...Frisco is one smart cat and it is just so funny what he can do on his iPad. A bee keeper nearby that is so nice will you be able to get fresh honey from them? Hugs and nose kisses

  24. Your camellias are just gorgeous!!!

Those were some great stories about Frisco and the iPad. It sounds like something our Dad would do because he has no clue what to do with Mom's iPad:) He could easily call AAA without knowing it.

  27. We are months away from anything blooming here.....and my Mom doesn't have an iPad but it sounds like something I need - or maybe not on second thought - I'd probably get in trouble from ordering stuff or "inappropriate" surfing!!

  29. There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
