Thoroughly Poetic Pictorial Thankful Thursday

Today I am very thankful for Brian's
Thankful Thursday Hop

We had lunch with SIL and BIL on January 31, 2019.
SIL made me an apple pie for my Birthday.
We don't exchange b-day gifts...she makes us pies because she is queen of pies
and I make them cornbread because I'm queen of cornbread
YES IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is today's pictorial inspiration

Plunge
by cecilia
He sprung from the ledge bird like
Into the liquid ABYSS
Was his landing a 10 or a MISS?

In 2017 Madi wrote an
Ode to her water fountain....

Oh water fountain how I do love you...
Your water glistens in the night even when there is no light,
Your pump sends sweet, fresh water down to the bowl much to my delight...
The water trickles, ripples and bubbles
enticing my inner beastie...
It makes me dream of lovely places to feast.
Oh water fountain thank you for service to me through out the day and night.

  8. I remember the ode to the water fountain. and the poem for the DIVE is my favorite you have written so far. short, to the point, perfect for the photo. love it.... if given a choice of apple pie or cornbread I would dive on the cornbread. if it were a lemon, or pecan or custard pie, I would dive on the pie. I am the queen of eating what others bake

  12. Takes a special kind of person to want to dive off heights like that! Angel Madi, will you convince The Hubby that we need a cat water fountain...he thinks everything around it will get wet! I remember enjoying a pear pie that my SIL made, a bazillion years ago. Pears from her tree.

  14. Okay, now I'm hungry for apple pie.

Love your poem and I'll give that guy a 10.

Our cruise is on our boat and we'll leave our marina tomorrow morning and cruise to Marina West Yacht Club for the weekend. Then on Sunday we will cruise back to our marina. It's going to rain all three days. We're going anyway.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, my friend. Big hug. ♥

  21. Ghostwriter says there is NO WAY she would jump from a cliff like that! She's scared of heights. Apple pie sounds like the perfect thing for a birthday. And, if I had a waterfall like that, I think I'd be playing in it all day long! Hooray!

  30. An impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post!
