Nature and Feline Friday : Trekking around Shelley Lake
On October 6, 2020 Madi 2 took us a few miles down the road
Madi 2 is 100% the same shade of gray as Angel Madi's lush lovely furs.
Madi's gray often looked black (below photo a prime example.. it was due to My poor photography skills) but she was Gray and White. Every single morning she greeted us with
her high flying fluffy ? mark kitty tail...just like this. She would always pause for me to hold her
tail as is passed through my hand.
We made some new discoveries on this trek
Could this be the southern portion of the Alaska pipe line?
This lovely trail is smack in the middle of a very busy section of North Raleigh.
Once you get on the trail the peace and tranquility block out any traffic sounds
I am not sure what this is but it is RED so you know I took a photo
There are homes much like this all along the trail too.
As you trek, views of Shelley Lake are all around you
I love the reflections of nature on the lake
Last week was the first week in several months we have been able to walk outside
every day. The weather was perfect. We are very happy to have such a beautiful
trail a few miles from home. It was a magical week seeing the mist rising off
the lake Monday and the Deer and Fawn on Wednesday.
Keep on Trekking.

Dearest Auntie HiC...
It is I, Pup, I'm Thankful to have my very on email to you today!!
I had really good day yesterday just me and Mom!!
I guess you heard, I had a bath. It wasn’t that bad, and Mom sings to me, and gives wonderful bath massages.
And guess what!?! 🐕
The best thing about my bath was drying off while chasing Mom behind the lawn mower. I might have already said this but I, Pup, am a very Thankful and Happy Boy!!
Sound on, please:

Happy Tuesday with my Feline Nephews
Dearest Auntie HiC
I decided to play hard-to-get, and make Rocky think I wasn’t interested in making friends with him.
Here I am, playing it cool...😹
Turn on sound:

Dearest Nephew Kat....mol mol mol
Uncle and I love your first picture...it squeals confidence and Wisdom! Whippersnapper’s are short on patience
I figured Rocky would ‘blink’ first.
Rocky darlin' I am bursting with Auntie proud, you followed the lead of your big brother by sitting down in a very calm and polite manner.
YAY Kat for your excellent leadership

Awww Monday and Sparks
Last Tuesday, October 6th, we took an early morning walk around Shelley Lake.
It was a beautiful fall morning and what a treat
We saw mist rising over the lake and a beautiful Great Blue Heron
Here are my Awww Monday photos and of course I had to find a
Spark to match
Any chance I have I always like to post "Fog" by
Carl Sandburg. The first two lines will explain.
And this one was just cute
Later this week there will be more photos from Shelley Lake Trek
We walked there 2 times last week.

Sunday Raindrops
Remnants of Delta passed over Casa da Angel Madi on
Saturday, October 10. The weather geeks us it would be scattered showers over the weekend.
Which is fine. Recently the lawn was aerated and seeded. Gentle rain
is what is needed. I actually like a rainy day....well not so much when I was
working and having to traipse all over NC State Campus tiptoeing through puddles.
Scattered rain...I could hear the grass growing.
