(Different) Nature Friday

In December 2020, we were driving toward home on Glenwood Ave.
I asked my husband if he saw that? He said no, what was it? I saw what appeared to be a red arch shaped door with a itty bitty Christmas wreath.  All at the bottom of large tree in the median. For the next few weeks I had no luck finding it.  Then the monsoons
of January kept us in and not seeing much that was picture worthy.

Early February I finally saw it again...BUT once again it was raining.  However, the door now had a heart on it.   Good news, I remembered exactly where it was located, across the street a church.
Wednesday, February 24, we parked in the church lot so we could get a better photo. The red arch door also has a door knob, a heart wreath and there are tiny lights
around the door.

Now for a cropped close up
Someone cut a piece of wood the exact shape of the area in the tree to make the door
I don't know who the kind soul(s) is who created this happy place, but I THANK THEM.
Now I'm wondering if it will have a theme each month.
I'll be checking and of course  I'll snap a photo.

  2. I just love this whole idea....and I hope there's a little "wreath" or decoration on it for every month. CLEVER - and something everyone can get a smile from when they see it!

  19. Someone designed multiple fairy homes in trees with doors like that along a trail in our city. But sadly they drew too much attention and the city made the person remove them:(

    1. That is so sad. Nothing personal meant, but I am glad I don't live there where such sweetness is "punished".
