Thoroughly Poetic Thursday #10, Dedicated to Two M's

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS

Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is our inspiration

When I first saw this photo last week, the very first image I had was of favorite Sissy of Angel Madi.  She played with makeup for kids as a wee one.

Today's post is dedicated to my two girls: favorite Sissy of Angel Madi  and Madi.

**At about 13 Sissy of Angel Madi said 'all my friends are wearing makeup'
Well I had seen some of her friend's attempts it was not pretty. I told her make up is no suppose to be noticed, it should be subtle. I made an appointment with the professionals at the Clinque counter. She learned how to apply everything to enhance not distract

Today I'm joining the

Thankful Thursday hosted by

Very thankful to report favorite Sissy and BIL of Angel Madi
received their first COVID vaccine on March 9th and will receive their 2nd on April 9th.  We have not seen them since December 26, 2019.
Maybe by late April we can once again see their precious faces and give them
87 hugs.

Today would have been Angel Madi's 19th birthday

  1. I think I once was given a make up box when I was about 13, but not long afterwards I rebelled against the whole idea. Why should I have to spend time putting horrible gunk on my face when boys don't have to, was my basic line of thinking, and half a century later it hasn't changed much!
Cheers, Gail (make-up free, as always).

  3. Aww, what a sweet remembrance of your dear Angel Madi. Bittersweet, I'm sure. I'm not so sure about the "without mess or stress" part, but dad's two "little" girls are grown ups, one with a little girl of her own to deal with. Sorry, Cecilia, for the deleted first comment. Dad and I just woke up after another of my many very noisy nights, and he sleepily made me hit the publish button before he realized some goofs.

Lovely thoughts prompted today!!! (I never did go much on makeup either - though there were periods where one complied with 'the corporate look'...)

That stitched piece is not just a lovely reminder of Madi - it honours your new hobby of patchworking and quilting!!! YAM xx

  11. I remember the girls in junior high trying on make-up. Sometimes their efforts were a bit clownish. But the poem is lovely, and so is that cross stitch picture!

  12. That was a good thing you did with the makeup. So many look hideous when they start with the makeup. You're a jewel.

I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
