Each Season the Coca Cola representative at my Grocery Store
arranges some his products with a smiling Grinch in the lobby of the store.
It always makes me smile

THE REST Of the story about  Raccoon the Choo Choo Cat.

You may remember reading all about Racoon the Choo Choo Cat HERE in March 2023,

Introducing Raccoon the Choo Choo Cat.

About three years ago, this tabby arrived at Nick's pretty much feral BUT hungry.  They put out food and water under the awning.
He kept coming every morning for all the TLC from Nick and staff. Nick was finally able to trap him.  He was neutered and fully vaccinated and microchipped. I don't know why/who named him Raccoon it is rather endearing.  He comes and goes out of the shop and can be found lounging all around the shop.

In mid October, 2023, I went to Nick's Train  store with Bryan.  I casually asked about Raccoon.

Here is the REST OF THE STORY
Early October someone saw him wondering around their apartment.  They 'thought' he was hungry and thirsty so they set out food and water. WELL everyone knows if you feed them they will stay.  Raccoon was enjoying the food.  After a few days of feeding him, SUPRISE he kept coming.  They called called Wake Co. Animal control, told them there was stray cat hanging around their door.  (DUH they were feeding him).  Wake Co. Animal Control picked him up.  Thankfully Raccoon had a microchip.  They called Nick to tell him they had Raccoon at their facility.
Nick paid his bail to get him out of Jail aka Wake Co. Animal Shelter. He is now an inside Train Shop Cat.

Raccoon is living the living and loving the life of an indoor Choo Choo train cat.

Thoroughly Poetic #143 and Thankful Thursday the Sweater Quilt

Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy

Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy

With my eyes I spied
a scene from the past.
Out standing in the field
The photographer was outstanding
 in his field.
What a beautiful scene.
Some might have missed an opportunity
because  of the outhouse
The creative editing took skill
The sepia gave it a feel of time gone by.

Thankful Thursday hosted by

All kinds of Thankful to share with you the completed  memory quilt made out of my neighbor Jane's, sister's sweaters.

The hand tied knots are in each corner of the squares and all around the border.  Due to the stretchy squares, I could not quilt the top, thus the hand tying.

I added a purple button to 'tie' (pun intended) everything together.  I am quite fond of accessories on clothes and crafts.

It is 33"x 39"

I thank  MY Bryan for holding it for me

Words Wednesday

Thank you to our Hostess

The Truck caught our eyes.
then we saw CEAEAL INFUSED ICE Cream...OH MY

Oct 31, 2023 — A new cereal-infused ice cream food truck opened this month in Crabtree Valley Mall. Creamed, a new ice cream food truck, is now open in Raleigh's Crabtree Valley Mall. Owned by married couple Fitz and Denee Guerna, Creamed operates as a pair of ice cream bars built into two vintage French vans. The menu is vanilla, chocolate and swirl soft serve blended with a dozen different cereal options.

is Raleigh's first cereal ice cream shop.

The area below opens up like a food truck EXCEPT it is ICE CREAM

Info from Google about the vans.

The Citroën H-Type vans (but mostly Citroën HY), are a series of panel vans and light trucks, produced by French automaker Citroën for 34 years (from 1947 through 1981), that are memorable for their Industrial design, using many corrugated metal outer body panels, to save material, weight, and costs.[1] Early models of the uniquely styled trucks were just named Type H, but soon they were differentiated by a second letter, using the last four letters in the alphabet – except for the type HP for (flat-bed) pickups. Thus the vans were built as the types HW through HZ – with the majority of them built as Citroën HY.

The Citroën H-types were developed as simple, low-cost, front-wheel drive vans after World War II, using the same design philosophy as on Citroën's 2CV, but featuring a frameless, unitary body-structure. A total of 473,289 of their variants were produced in 34 years in factories in France and Belgium.

Awww Monday with Rocky

 Thank you to our

Host Comedy Plus

You know the old saying: all things must come to an end.
Mom’s favorite season is rapidly “blowing away”.

Top photo was taken last week, & bottom photo is the current view.

Volume up  please for this song by Johnny Mathis
with me ROCKY, as leading man.

The peeps spend a lot of time clearing the leaves from the yard, and driveway; but I enjoy watching them fall! 🍁🍁🍁
❤️ Rocky

Auntie HiC adores Johnny Mathis just like your Mom.
I believe I recall she saw him in concert once.
Just lovely photos and soothing music.  It will be on Awww Monday
Lovingly your Auntie.

Yes Auntie, the Peeps saw Johnny Mathis' Christmas show in ATL❣️ If she could see Andrea Bocelli & Carlos Santana (not together, ha!)  her buckle list would be checked off! 😹

Rocky, Auntie's top two items on her bucket list were
to see Elvis in person which she did in early 1970's
and to visit Alaska which she did in 2005.

Serene Sunday

This time of year I like a little added brightness to the house.
I recently found a string of 50 LED lights for our mantel, AT LOGAN'S of course.
I've wanted something like this for years; however, I wanted them to be battery operated. There is an electrical outlet by the chair. I didn't want a cord hanging.  I vacuumed off the mantel then put them in place.  Nestle in the lights are our normal Christmas mantel decorations.  After Thanksgiving,  I will replace the fall flowers with holly and evergreen and the fall candles with Christmas Candles.
The carving of Angel Madi on top of her box is always there.  I say good morning to her each morning when I enter the room and good night before bed.
