Wordless Wednesday from my front porch

Thank you to our Hostess

May 6th at about 6:45 pm we had a quick monsoon
followed by this glorious sunset.

  1. Wow, great photo.
I'm wondering how long before the streets were dry after the monsoon. In Oklahoma I always found it remarkable how it seemed that minutes after the rain had stopped the pavements were dry again. Here in Scotland the roads remain wet for so much longer due to the cool, damp atmosphere!
    Cheers, Gail.

  5. Wouldn't it be fun if we could actually get our cars painted those colors. Great picture and glad that the rain just slid through and no damage done. Same as up here this morning. I don't know what's going to happen tonight though.

  11. We had one heckuva monsoon this morning! Dark enough to need headlights out there!

  12. Beautiful......funny how most of the time, after a monsoon event (!), the sky does something "dramatic" but beautiful!

  13. Nature is beautiful, and, as others have mentioned, sometimes cruel. Glad you had a day of beautiful.

  14. Funny how that happens, isn't it. The rain clears off a bit and the sky lights up like it's been painted.
