Tasty Happy Tuesday at Zest Cafe

Thank you to our

We thank our Hostess Sandee at

 Comedy Plus

Our most recent Saturday Search for a Sensational meal took us to

ZEST Cafe.

Cafe is on the left side of the building  Home Decor on the right.

Zest has a nice size patio in the shape of an L

Lunch service starts at 11 am, we arrived at 10:45 there was already a line outside

Dining room inside is very pretty and cozy and nicely decorated. Maybe 15 tables in total.  Most of the tables are for 4 diners a few for 6 diners

Below is what my husband selected for lunch.
A bowl of 2 bean chili and a pear and fig salad with black mission figs, fresh pears, crumbled blue cheese and toasted walnuts over a bed of mixed greens with raspberry balsamic vinaigrette
Critique 👍👍👍👍👍

I selected tomato pie - fresh tomatoes, sauteed onions,(the onions were tasty, not too many) and cheddar, Monterey jack and parmesan cheeses in a flaky crust - topped with fresh basil
with a side of  honey poppyseed slaw, that was yummy
Critique 👍👍👍👍👍

We splurged a bit on this lunch.  We will definitely go back probably for dinner. Their menu changes with the Season

You might recall when Seaboard closed, I said it was a cafe and a destination.
WELL GUESS WHAT
Zest is definitely a ZEST-ination...there is a gift shop and home decor on one side.
Few photos of the home decor and art for sale.

  3. Zest looks like a nice café, bright and clean. The food looks good too. I never have a bought salad because I don't like lettuce or similar leaves. If you ask them to leave them off there is not much left! There is one place we go and if I ask them to leave them off then they pile it high with tomatoes and cucumber, but you can only eat so many of them!

  5. That looks like a really nice place. Fancy menu items. I've never heard of any of those dishes.

  6. The closing of your favorite place makes you get out and explore others and sometimes change is a good thing and you find other places you also can enjoy.

  7. Oh my who has time to eat with all that to walk around and look at. Of course I think the food sounds absolutely yummy so it would be a toss-up where I go first.

  8. I like all of the choices. Only thing I would do different is have them hold the blue cheese.

  17. Great that it is a ZEST-ination! I certainly trust your taste buds :) I have not had tomato pie but it keeps popping up a lot lately. The salad would be on my order. Five golden thumbs up! I would be interested in your critique of a dinner there. I like their outside dining and inside dining looks like it is spaced out to meet the needs of those of us who are still cautious of covid or anything else that still lurks. Cute shop too.

  22. We think you have come about as close as possible to replacing Seaboard. This place is wonderful. Mom said she would have really enjoyed Bryan's meal. Both the chili and salad looked amazing. Yours looks good too. The shop looks like a fun place for browsing.
