Cafe is on the left side of the building Home Decor on the right.
Zest has a nice size patio in the shape of an L
Lunch service starts at 11 am, we arrived at 10:45 there was already a line outside
Dining room inside is very pretty and cozy and nicely decorated. Maybe 15 tables in total. Most of the tables are for 4 diners a few for 6 diners
Below is what my husband selected for lunch.
A bowl of 2 bean chili and a pear and fig salad with black mission figs, fresh pears, crumbled blue cheese and toasted walnuts over a bed of mixed greens with raspberry balsamic vinaigrette
Critique 👍👍👍👍👍
I selected tomato pie - fresh tomatoes, sauteed onions,(the onions were tasty, not too many) and cheddar, Monterey jack and parmesan cheeses in a flaky crust - topped with fresh basil
with a side of honey poppyseed slaw, that was yummy
Critique 👍👍👍👍👍
We splurged a bit on this lunch. We will definitely go back probably for dinner. Their menu changes with the Season
You might recall when Seaboard closed, I said it was a cafe and a destination.
WELL GUESS WHAT
Zest is definitely a ZEST-ination...there is a gift shop and home decor on one side.
Few photos of the home decor and art for sale.
that looks a great place to visit xoxo Little Miss Titch
ReplyDeletewow that is beautiful!!! and what a super idea... you can shop for some nice things and later you can have lunch there and you can get some new ideas to shop again... ;o))
ReplyDeleteZest looks like a nice café, bright and clean. The food looks good too. I never have a bought salad because I don't like lettuce or similar leaves. If you ask them to leave them off there is not much left! There is one place we go and if I ask them to leave them off then they pile it high with tomatoes and cucumber, but you can only eat so many of them!

ReplyDeleteOoh yes, that looks like a keeper! YAM xx
That looks like a really nice place. Fancy menu items. I've never heard of any of those dishes.
ReplyDeleteThe closing of your favorite place makes you get out and explore others and sometimes change is a good thing and you find other places you also can enjoy.
ReplyDeleteOh my who has time to eat with all that to walk around and look at. Of course I think the food sounds absolutely yummy so it would be a toss-up where I go first.
ReplyDeleteI like all of the choices. Only thing I would do different is have them hold the blue cheese.
ReplyDeleteZest Cafe looks like a winner and the meals look sooooo tasty and the gift shop looks like lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteDearest Cecilia,
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever concept of a very interesting store and great food as well!

That looks like a nice place and your lunch selections both looked great!
ReplyDeleteWhat yummy lunches you both had. That looks like a fun place to visit to see the decor side too.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you found a new "favorite" place.

Great that it is a ZEST-ination! I certainly trust your taste buds :) I have not had tomato pie but it keeps popping up a lot lately. The salad would be on my order. Five golden thumbs up! I would be interested in your critique of a dinner there. I like their outside dining and inside dining looks like it is spaced out to meet the needs of those of us who are still cautious of covid or anything else that still lurks. Cute shop too.

ReplyDeletewanna go wanna go wanna go!!!!!! And by the way, I would have loved your lunch and your husbands as well w/o the bleu cheese. (ewwww) but otherwise it looks completely YUMMY
ReplyDeleteglad you found a place similar to seaboard…we have a zest O…..here, it’s an ice cream shop ‼️‼️😺💙
ReplyDeleteIt does sound delightful, small, local places can have the best food ever.
ReplyDeleteIt looks yummy
ReplyDeleteWe think you have come about as close as possible to replacing Seaboard. This place is wonderful. Mom said she would have really enjoyed Bryan's meal. Both the chili and salad looked amazing. Yours looks good too. The shop looks like a fun place for browsing.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Misty and Timber
That salad looks really good. XO
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've found your new regular meal place! Good thing I just ate, or my tummy would be growling. That food looks and sounds wonderful!
