Feline and Nature Friday Flashback 2013
Nature Friday host LLB Gang Click here Hostess Miss Mimi
Thank you for hosting!
Thursday (July 18, 2013) at 3:30 I had my annual
Senior Kitty Wellness Exam!!! Since it was hotter
than blue blazes, there were no pictures taken
in the car.
But someone should have taken the camera for inside.
MOM DID COOL OF THE ROYAL COACH BEFORE
DEPARTURE TIME
ANYHOOO HEY MOM THIS IS MY NOT
HAPPY LOOK!!!
It took me 87 hours to wash the vet cooties off my lovely furs!
Mom rarely catches my tongue in action 'cause I'm quick
but I had a lot of repair work to do!!
Every single inch of me was dirty....
Mom took 66 (REALLY) pictures of me washing. In nearly all of them my tongue is showing!!
Now for the vitals.....drum roooooooollllllllll
last year I weighed a whopping 11.4 lbs.
Dr. S gently suggested my ideal weight should be
11 or slightly below...GUESS what counting kibbles
DOES make one lose weight...I am now
a slender 10.8!!! Woo Hoo
Mom is very proud of herself. I'm just hungry.
My teeth look very good in spite of the lack of tartar fighting
kibble
Dr. S was listening to my heart, I was wiggling, Mom
gave me a kissy on my nose. Dr. S told mom when you kissed Madi's nose, her heartbeat went down...Ok Ok
I will admit it
I love my Mom!!
MOM I owe you a
Thank you for putting me in the PTU, the car and taking me to the vet! I hope you enjoyed my soprano version of
O Sole Mia...next time I'll try to sing all of it

Wordless Wednesday Wings
Snapped on an early morning walk
July 11, 2024
Eastern Swallowtails are very large insects. When basking in the sun, their outspread wings can be 8 to 14 cm (3 to 5.5 inches) from tip to tip. Their colors are vibrant. Broad yellow wings are edged by black and with four stripes, like tapering chevrons from the forewing margins downward into the yellow wings.

We were HAPPY to find the below video
Mom made as we were heading from our wonderful trek to the west, we were camped in Mississippi, we alerted Mom to a pair of pileated woodpeckers right out the back window.
By the time she found her phone, the male was out of sight, but the female posed for us❣️ What a treat!
Notice, she doesn’t have a red mustache.
According to Cornell Lab of Ornithology:
Excuse poor video quality.
This was at the end of our trip & the back window was filthy. 😹
