WELL thankfully mom has never been mad enough at me to tell me to go fly a KITE and for that reason I don't have one.  AND double thankfully

I never been stalked by a falcon but

I do have a hot air balloon that hangs on our porch.  

Yes I know it says Happy July 4th...LOL!

I am big believer in recycle, reuse, repurpose.

Mom calls this placement boobie paws...all snug and tucked

under my chest...MOL

(yes he has his own couch...and Sis calls me rotten, MOL)

His paws got hot so he is airing them by practicing a hangover

And finally my most important paw placement over my eyes.

I'm on the peeps bed...dad is in the bathroom shaving and the light is bothering my very sensitive peepers.

Mom gets all gaga when I do this.

Grandpeep update:
G-pa is feeling about normal...his cough is gone and he is getting out.  Mom and my G-pa had a meeting at her health care facility this week.  G-ma is not eating well and has lost too much weight.
So now Mom is on a mission to find something to give G-ma's appetite a jump start. G-ma has always been a picky eater.
She is still somewhat confused but they tell us this is normal after surgery.

Today Mom and I are joining Bossy Betty in

While resting on the rug I often look up

 to catch a fleeting glimpse of my ceiling fan.

And the funny thing is often after I do this

I break out into what Mom calls the night crazies

or as some of my K9 friends say I do zoomies 

running around the house.  Mom says she doesn't understand how one 11 lb cat can sound like a herd of elephants.

I run up the stairs all around up stairs and back down again

and go FLOP right under the whirly bird.

I am Madi and that is how I roll.

HAVE BEEN POSTPONED!!

I was going to stand on this podium meowing at the top of my
lungs

We were going to tell you to keep your eyes on the sky
for a special announcement.  We were going ask our cabinet members to prepare a post introducing themselves. 

But Mom told me she just did not have time to prepare a proper post and that I should step off the podium until a later date.

We still plan to do all of this but Mom thinks it would be best to save it until the my swearing in ceremony
in January 2013.

So long story short 

 "THE BEST LAID PLANS OF A WOMAN AND CAT CAME TO NO GOOD END THIS TIME."

I GOT GOLDEN MAIL

In February of this year my BFFF

Sugar the Golden Retriever 

announced that she and her

peeps were moving out of Chicago.  Sugar loves to fill her days

with Golden fun so she invited everyone to prepare a post guessing

where they were moving.  She also gave us clues so Mom and I put on our thinking hats to prepare our

WELL LO AND BEHOLD OUR 

PRIZE FOR PAWTICIPATING IN THE GAME ARRIVED LAST WEEK.

As you can see I gave this very sweet package the Madi

sniff of approval....then Mom used scissors to carefully open it.

It had at least 10 yards of packing tape on it because it 

had to come all the way from.................(to be annouced)

MOL Sugar not one single thing escaped from the package

 Ok I'll let the cat out of the bag...it came from our 

beautiful State of Hawaii which is where Sugar and her peeps are now living.  Mom loves the beautiful lavender print tote

 OH MY CATS/OH MY DOGS SUGAR SENT ME

A COPY OF HER BOOK.  IT IS SO FUNNY!!! 

SUGAR DISCOVERS A CHIPMUNK IN HER YARD

AND THEY BECOME BFFs

Sugar has the sweetest smile

 Sugar's assistant made me a tag with my picture on it

I rarely look at myself so this is a very special treat

 and a very pretty post card with Sugar's name written in golden sand. Mom and I are pawticipants in Sugar's 2nd Friday of every month

 Mom received a CD By Da Barefoot Warrior

This is the first CD we have by him.
 Mom said the CD is very soulful and upbeat. Mom loves the guitar music in the background.  There are 3 original Hawaiian songs which are beautiful.
His rendition of  "I can't stop loving you",from
the movie Blue Hawaii, is 360 degrees different from how Elvis sang it, and just as beautiful.

 AND we both rec'd an envelope that said 

DO NOT OPEN UNTIL AFTER THANKSGIVING

Mom has it clipped on the fridge and Sugar she promises she 

will not open it until the evening of November 22.

Sugar Mom and I thank you very much for all the lovely prizes,

for being our friend. Your post always make us smile
