On a recent early morning walk it was about 52 degrees.
I captured a warm mist rising off Lead Mine Lake.

Thankful and PoeticThursday #38

 Today we join

My nephews Kat, Rocky and Pup and their peeps would be very thankful if you could send positive thoughts to Pup.

Here is an email I received from Kat:

On Tuesday, My sweet Pup had surgery to remove a mass on his front, right paw.
He was very drowsy when he got home. He’s been a very good boy; hasn’t  bothered his paw, or had to wear E-collar (yet).

Mom and I made his bed extra comfy, right next to Mom.
Mom says I’m the purr-fect nurse. 😻

He returns to vet Friday to have stitches  removed, and hopefully receive pathology report. Pawsitive thoughts are much appreciated.
Sincerely Kat your very appreciative Nephew and friend.

Dearest Kat,
Auntie loves each and every one of you.  If you get a chance, please whisper that into Pup's ear for me and while you're up there could you also give him a kissy?
Lovingly your devoted Auntie HiC

(few) Words on Wednesday: Lunch at Seaboard

    Thanks to our

    Hostess Sandee at Comedy Plus

Long time readers know we love Seaboard Cafe.  We have lunch there at least once a week.  Sometimes more.  We have been dining at Seaboard for 30+years. Saturday September 25th I had a most delicious lunch.  Something I have never EVER no never had there.

BLT Shell Pasta and a scoop of Yogurt fruit salad (their original recipe).  Oh in case you are interested, the carrot you see is their original recipe.  It is pickled...and delicious.  Never thought I'd like a pickled carrot.

    My meal was delicious.

Real bacon, delicious tomatoes, lettuce and Ranch Dressing.

    Awww Monday and Sparks

     Thank you to our

    Host Comedy Plus

While on my MMW (mid morning walk) on September 24, I was about to pass Cody's Spot. Photo from our last encounter about a week ago

I was later than usual.  I thought maybe he was back in the house.

However, I rounded the corner I saw Cody in a new spot.

    9/24/21 8 a.m.

This Sparks is about a human being but I truly think it perfectly describes seeing Cody the Grand Patriarch of the 'hood.  Each time I see Cody he 'rekindles my inner spirit.'

    Serene Sunday assortment

     from a recent walkabout

This taken from our driveway looking down to the end of the Cul-da-sac

The red caught my eye (of course) it was some kind of wind sock.

Thankfully it was early so these were Serene.  I admired their shiny well cared for look  sitting quietly.  Even in a quiet neighborhood street I don't think I'd leave them parked there overnight.
