1. I’d like to peek into my K9 friends Rosy, Sunny,  Brinley, Kinley's closets, they are all such fashionistas. 

2, I secretly enjoy a rainy day.

3. There’s no use crying over the last spoon of ice Cream (I know we have extra) .

4. If I don’t take my camera with me when I take a walk, I am always sorry.

Today I have two thankfuls. 

1.I'm thankful that I am a morning person. My kitchen sink faces East.  I often see spectacular sunrises.  This was what I saw on August 5 at 6:10 AM.  

2. I am thankful for good neighbors. Last week our neighbors, who live in the house shown in the picture above, were on vacation. We took care of their plants, mail and trash bins.  To thank us they brought us 4 Chocolate Hazelnut Croissants

OMDs Pup is a nut for peanut butter. I bet he didn't ever offer to share either. That is adorable. Tell Pup Uncle loves peanut butter too but thus far he has not licked the jar.

Serene Sunday: Lead Mine Lake

Many have asked if there was ever a Lead Mine in the area:

 

Beneath Lead Mine Road there is a series of hidden graphite mines, many of which are still under the current Greystone Village neighborhood. Sawmill Road, which now connects Creedmoor and Lead Mine, was named for a sawmill located near the same area in Raleigh's early days.
