Update on Grandma as of Friday afternoon at 4:30

She had a much better day on Friday.  Sat up in a chair for about 3 hours.  Mom says she ate a little bit more today today.  If things go as planned she will be moved to a rehab facility on Sunday.

Grandma update:  Thursday was a fair day for her.  She had her first PT yep 12 hours after surgery hip replacement.  That is just how they do it.  It was painful and left her a bit 

aggravated (and rightly so) for the remainder of the day. 

Mom and I thank each and everyone for your kind comments and emails.  We hope to get back to commenting soon.

Mom prepares my blog posts about a week ahead so we are just adding updates.

Tomorrow is a new day with new hope....and a good way to celebrate

I am happy to say Mom realized she didn't leave her heart in the mountains.  When she got home, she found out her 

heart was really at home with me.  This box was in the

foyer 2 seconds when I hopped on it...Mom said

MOL she told me she brought both boxes back especially for me but after a quick sniff I knew she was fibbing me.

The big box contains a most Beautiful Hot Air Balloon

that will be hung over our stair case (but not by my Dad

he isn't allowed on ladders).  Once it is hung I'll show it to you

GRANDMA's emergency hip surgery (see below)went well.

She will be in the hospital until Sat or Sun then transferred to rehab.  We will be in and out but will update as possible

MY GRANDMA..(84) MOM's fell yesterday and broke her hip.  She had partial hip replacement last night.  We will update as we can.

Yes another set of vacation pictures...and this will not be the last of them.  Crazy Mom took 280 pictures....BUT I must admit these are entertaining. Two days of their vacation were spent in Brevard, North Carolina, home of the White Squirrel.
I truly do not understand her excitement...after all I have a 

gorgeous white tummy....

Just sayin'

 Until Mom saw this shoppe name she had forgotten about the article she read them in "Our State" magazine several years ago.  When she saw the sign she thought to herself, 'I wish I could see them in person'.  

Lo and behold she did get several pictures, totally by accident.  She and Dad stopped to take a picture of this beautiful Episcopal Church, when all of a sudden a white squirrel ran across the porch.  To say Mom squealed would be an understatement.

Mom felt like this was a once in a lifetime photo opt. Mom was bragging about her pictures only to be told a sighting is not all that rare in Brevard.  MOL BUT mom said it was to her!!

Evidently this little critter has a gazillion relatives in Brevard.

They are not albino squirrels.  The white squirrels are called

Leucristic they have brown beady eyes just like the tree

rodents in our city.

Mom saw some regular tree rodents too but 

for some reason she thinks these 

little guys are adorable and quite frisky

  Mom pictures were taken from across a 4 land road.  This YouTube video gives you a better  close up of this adorable little squirrel.  It is long but the first few seconds are worth watching.

Mom and Dad attended the Dixie Classic Fair, their first County Fair while on vacation last week.   Below we will share some of the highlights of the pictures they took of various and sundry
