Subtitle Matthew
Sub-subtitle: Tree Rats
This is how I spent the morning of November 5...
(and FYI: I told Dad I'd sit on the check until he was sure he was happy with the tree rats work!
Now for the rest of the story
As everyone remembers in early October, Hurricane Matthew huffed and puffed and blew sideways crazy rain here at Manor Madi. Matthew was not invited and not a welcomed guest.
Thank goodness out house did not blow away but
Matthew blew the very tippy top limb out of the top of a
ginormous maple tree. Thank goodness the limb fell
in the middle of the tree but was hanging on by a small piece of wood.....NOT ON Manor Madi
The peeps called our tree rats immediately but they were so
very busy removing trees off homes etc they asked if we could
wait for a few weeks. Of course when the tree rats come here
we have to document it. In the below photo they are getting
their ropes out and putting on their tree rat gear.
The red arrow below is pointing to a tiny orange dot
that is one of the tree rats helmets
The blue arrow is the rope he is taking up to the tippy top of the
tree to tie around the limb
Below are the tree rats ground crew waiting to guide
the limb down safely
We were happy to get this limb down it was dead and the peeps
wanted it down before the cold winds of winter or ice and snow arrived.
The End!!
PS...on Gas Log service man, yesterday's post...
Many of you said yesterday how how refreshing that someone actually did their job well. On top of telling the Gas Log service tech how impressed they were sit his service, she also mailed a letter to the Gas Company human resources department telling them how pleased they were. He told my peeps he liked what he did, and that he was trained to clean the logs at every visit. Hopefully the letter will be put in his personnel file and maybe one day he'll get a nice promotion.
