* Here are a few things I've learned about felines from Madi:

1. Never ever, no never, put your mouth on anything until you have     

 given it the paw test, you know the one tap tap tap.

2.  Be finicky, until you get what you like

3. The squeaky cat, always gets fed first

4.  Purr lots, make your human think you want to be petted...when 

what you really want is to taste them

5.  Never sleep where there is cat fur.  Demand a fresh towel

6.  Greet them at the door about once a week, rubbing all over their 

legs especially when they have on black pants

7.  Beg to be let in the bathroom while your Dad takes a shower

then when he gets in the shower.  Meow to the top of you lungs 

to get out.  I guarantee you someone will let you out!!

8. Never ever let the humans think you are happy...they will get

lazy.  


9. There are several ways to get a bite of whatever your human is 

eating (Madi's food of choice is Cheerios) 

a. sit right by their hand as they lift the spoon...head butt their hand 

those little O's will fall all over the table

b. sit by their hand again BUTT pretend to be sleeping...all of a 

sudden look up at the ceiling while cat chirping...they will look up 

too. Grab a tasty morsel and run for the hills!!

Mom has prior approval to take tomorrow off.  We will be 

back bright and early Monday, 11/16/15....

Yep this is my nephew Frisco....why See beautiful?

As many of you might remember, my sis and bil

were owned for nearly 11 years by Harley the Cornish Rex Cat.  The last two years of his life

Angel Harley was almost completely blind.  It was sad but Harley ADJUSTED!!  He knew his way all over the house.  You just couldn't move things.  The downside was he could no longer jump anywhere.  Sis and bil became accustomed to that.  Sis often commented when up here, 

"I can't believe you let Madi jump on the counters/table/anywhere she pleases"!

Frisco, I, Madi, say thank you for letting your peeps

it can be to have YOU on the counters/table or anywhere you wanna be!!! 

  You rule, the peeps drool and you are only 7 months old

Tuesday Tale: K9 Walking update and a morning w/Madi

First Mom would like to give you an update on walking Kasi...yep we were spelling her name wrong.
It never stopped raining but it did slack off some.  But with the umbrella and leash and it being the first 

walk mom didn't take the camera.  

 Kasi was hesitant at first she kept circling around the den and dining room.  Finally mom said she sat on the floor..Kasi slowly walked up to mom as soon as she got to mom she put her head down so mom could find her collar.  Off they went.  Kasi left a lot of PEEMAIL and read a lot of PEEMAIL!!  Mom predicts
Kasi will come running on Thursday and Mom will take the camera!!

A CELEBRATION OF THE RETURN OF THE SUN!!!

Monday Madi (K9) Mews

OH MY CATS...our door bell rang Sunday afternoon. Lo and behold when I came down to 

investigate, there was essence of  K9 on this leash and it was in my house.

What is this doing here and why is there a plastic bag on it.  I told mom she better have a good

explanation and it better be quick!!

 Well here is the rest of the story. 

Casey (female) an 11 yo Border Collie lives next door to us.  Casey's last human sibling started college in August.  Casey's mom works 12 hours a day 2 or 3 days a week and Casey's Dad is on a special project at work with longer hours.

They don't want Casey to stay in the house all that time alone when Casey's mom is working so Mom volunteered to take 

Casey for a walk in the middle of the day when

Casey's mom is working long hours.

They said not to take her out when it is raining sooooooo

if the weather is good tomorrow or Thursday, Mom will take a picture of Casey at the end of this leash and of course it will

appear on the blog.  Mom told me Casey's tail gets all wiggly when she sees her leash!

Golden Bits and pieces!!!

We love fall....this tree is in our neighborhood about two  blocks from our house.  At least that is what mom told me.  I don't know it for a fact because my feets have never touched the ground.

In all my 13 years with Mom, I have found her to be truthful except for the time she said she gave me all of my daily portion of kibble BUT SHE HAD NOT!!
