Saturday Symmetry

While I was taking photos of the adorable red door on yesterday's post, HERE,
I took the opportunity to snap a photo of this lovely home, which is across the street from the 'red door'.
It is  full of Symmetry.
The arched porch, the stone wall of the porch the beautiful chimney 1/2 brick and 1/2 stone
The beveled windows on the left side of the home are absolutely gorgeous when the sun shines through them. They reflect so many colors.  I know this, because I attended a bridal shower there at least 45 years ago.  They are the dining room windows.  The  table was full of delightful refreshments. The front of the home is exactly as it was all those years ago.  It has been cared for and loved.  It is a sturdy home.  The current residents have added an addition to the back
In the spring this year is full of Daffodils too.

(Different) Nature Friday

In December 2020, we were driving toward home on Glenwood Ave.
I asked my husband if he saw that? He said no, what was it? I saw what appeared to be a red arch shaped door with a itty bitty Christmas wreath.  All at the bottom of large tree in the median. For the next few weeks I had no luck finding it.  Then the monsoons
of January kept us in and not seeing much that was picture worthy.

Early February I finally saw it again...BUT once again it was raining.  However, the door now had a heart on it.   Good news, I remembered exactly where it was located, across the street a church.
Wednesday, February 24, we parked in the church lot so we could get a better photo. The red arch door also has a door knob, a heart wreath and there are tiny lights
around the door.

Now for a cropped close up
Someone cut a piece of wood the exact shape of the area in the tree to make the door
I don't know who the kind soul(s) is who created this happy place, but I THANK THEM.
Now I'm wondering if it will have a theme each month.
I'll be checking and of course  I'll snap a photo.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday #9

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS

Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is our inspiration

Yesterday when you gave me a tug
I was snug as a bug

What a fright
Overnight
my fit became tight

No matter how I tried (to fit) in
My little Red Radio flyer
It wasn't to be
My Flyer made me a
CRIER

Dr. Seuss Day on Happy Tuesday

Hosted by Comedy Plus

Today we celebrate Dr. Seuss and  Happy Tuesday

Hosted by a trio of friends
June and Mom Ann provided our lovely badges

I will be using a prop featuring Winnie Pooh and friends

I'm 100% sure Dr. Seuss would say
Don't dismay
this day is for all
who want to  play.
Let your mind be loose
As a goose
Let the words play
and it will make your day!!

The wee girl was a huge fan of Dr. Seuss too
Hop on Pop
made her laugh and
flip flop around

Green Eggs and Ham
made her say no
thank you ma'am!

This plate was my daughter's when she was a toddler in the mid 1970's.  It is at least 43 years old. As the year's passed, it became a plate for my furry children too:
Milky-Way our first cat and Madison Diva Cat.  They ate Fancy Feast from it every day of their lives.

Awww Monday with my Nephews

Hosted by Comedy Plus

Dearest Auntie HiC

It was a beautiful day here on The Hill.

I love my little bro-furs, and Mom says I’m very patient, and kind to them

I even share my bed with them~~

After we walked Kat and Rocky, Mom took me out all by myself.
But sometimes I want Mom all to myself! ❤️🐾❤️
Yep, it was a beautiful day.
Mom and I love playing toss and fetch
Sound on, please.

❤️ Pup

Dearest Sweet Nephew Pup!!!!
You email, photo and Happy Dog Video have made our hearts sing and OMDs, I'm smiling so big my face feels like it is frozen.  Bless you heart for being such a good brudder.
You knew how lucky you were when your Mom and Dad found you.  When Kat and Rocky showed up your big heart made room for the two Felines.  It is all because of your sweet nature that felines have learned to get along.
I think maybe I'll nominate you for Mayor of The Hill.
With love and hugs your Auntie HiC
