Seaboard Cafe & Caturday Teapot Art

Every Saturday since BM (before Madi) my peeps have lunch at
It sits in the middle of a garden shop, the food is delicious
the owner is like family.  Most Saturdays except for extreme
winter, they sit outside.

AND THE MAIN REASON REASON THEY GO IS
BECAUSE IT IS LOCATED RIGHT BESIDE THE TRAIN TRACKS AND EVERY SATURDAY AT 11:20 AM
THE TRAIN PULLS OUT!!

Caturday Art with Athena

My peeps took an approved mini road trip yesterday to
Cedar Creek Gallery to see
The 10th National Teapot Show featuring over 200 teapots
by 150 of the most accomplished local, regional and national artisans.
Starting today we will be sharing photos.  Today's are teapots that are cat like

Mom had hoped to see the Avian Exhibit too which started on 4/29/17-5/30/17
However all but 5 pieces of it had already sold.  Mom is on the list to be notified the next time
that exhibit returns.

Flower Friday

Our Hosts are  DB Boyz and Angel Dory

large photo in full bloom, top right beginning to open, middle right opening
bottom right and middle bottom buds, bottom left the glorious white is fading; however,
even in fading it is a beautiful flower.

The magnolia flower meaning is attached with the symbols of nobility, perseverance, and love of nature. Soft and subtle in color yet strong in appearance, the flower is representative of the beauty encompassing femininity and gentleness. Often men prefer to gift their female partner the magnolia flowers, as an appreciation of their beauty.

Being awakened from your 87th nap is B A D, but it is even worse
when you are dreaming about an all you can eat fish buffet.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday with Teddy and Angel Sammy

Today's post is brought to you by the letter
X
Xcitement is what I felt when I realized it was X day
Xactly how I was going to rhyme
Was something I hoped would come to mind
Xcept what I had in my mind was only a scheme
Xtreme glee filled my cup when
Madi finally said, Mom give it up, there is no Xrta time
You will never Xcel at poetry unless
you Xerox one from the pages of time.
X's and O's
Madi and Mom

We are Xcited to also be participating

......in Louis' May Challenge to talk about a story or book we like and why.
Your story can be a poem, book, folk tale, movie, song or anything else that could be considered to be a story. It could be a story you have made up or one that you heard around a campfire. The wide-open choice is yours.  Write some words about the story and why you like it.

Each of the books is non fiction.
1. Dewey:  The small town Library Cat who Touched the World by Vicki Myron with Bret Witter
What we liked about it was EVERYTHING!  But mainly Dewey lived in a library with BOOKS.
Dewey's story starts off not so good BUT OMCs he winds up a kitty known world wide.....
He was only a few weeks old, he was stuffed in a return book slot at Spencer, Iowa's library.
The morning Dewey was found in the library he pulled himself up and hobbled on frostbitten feet to nudge each of the staff present.  He won their hearts.  In spite of his circumstances Dewey survived and inspired everyone who came in the Library for 19 (yes nineteen years). Dewey had a way of knowing just who came in and needed his attention the most.

2. Amazing Gracie: A Dog's Tale:  by Dan Dye and Mark Beckloff, the co-founders of
Three Dog Bakery
In 2000, I read a love story, Amazing Gracie, A Dog's Tale.
The book jacket starts off, "it was love at first sight"!
Dan went to see a house full of Dane Pups...Gracie was the runt of the litter so to speak.
She had so many digestive issues she was not thriving.
She struggled to get up to go to Dan.  He said he could just tell she was saying
"you know I'm the one, now get me outta here"!
Gracie's digestive issues were the motivation for ,Three Dog Bakery.
If you have not read this love story, I highly recommend it.
There are 248 pages full of love and devotion, this is why we loved this book

No words from mom Wednesday

To my friends I only agreed to wear this heart leaf on my back so you could see how large it is.

Always put your feets in stuff, and give them a smell...before you dare to put your tongue in it!!

Three S's

Sunday, Shadows and Sunpuddles

Mom recently moved my perch from upstairs to the dining room window.
I love it here as you can see from the college.
