A flower named Dory.......

Today we join all of Dory's friends to pay tribute to a life lived well, full of love and 

flowers.  We thank the Idaho Pugs, Kinley and Oz 

When Mom started to prepare this tribute to Dory, she wondered if per chance there was a 

flower named Dory.  Needless to say we were not surprised that 

THERE IS!!!
Doryanthes excelsa
Below is a little information on it and we especially thought the definition of excelsa
was purrfect for Dory.

Doryanthes excelsa, commonly known as Gymea lily, is a flowering plant in the family, Doryanthaceae and is endemic to coastal areas of New South Wales near Sydney. It has sword-like leaves more than 1 metre (3 ft) long and when it flowers, sends up a flower spike up to 6 metres (20 ft) high. The apex of the spike bears a large cluster of bright red flowers, each 10 centimetres (4 in) across. Its common name is derived from the name given to the plant by the indigenous Eora people and the Sydney suburbs of Gymea and Gymea Bay are named after the lily.

Translation and definition of excelsa. ... Phrases with the word excelsa such as Gloria in excelsis Deo – Glory to God in the Highest; semper excelsius – always higher.

Doryanthes excelsa...is a perfect flower for our sweet Angel Dory...

The pink and white flowers in this heart collage represent
Dory's love of pink and flowers, her soft white furs and to let her know she left a paw print on our hearts

DID YOU HEAR THE NEWS?  TODAY IS DORY'S DAY!!
SHE IS CELEBRATING WITH A BLOG HOP AND A HIJINKS,no clue what it is
but if Dory is doing it there will be frolicking and fun and food and
dancing and you might even see some twerking.
Before the festivities started, Dory and I had a little gal time at my house.

most treasured photo of Mom holding Dory at the BAR in Indiana June 2016.

Mom never in a million years expected to meet any of our
furiends BUTTTT she did.  She 

loved every moment of the BAR and will treasure those meetings furever.
Mom also held Dory for about 30 minutes.....I think Dory was as happy
as mom was too Dory is twice as soft as she looks and

Mayor Arty is most handsome and debonair (and soft too in a manly way)!!

I've known Dory for a very very very long time.  When we 

met it was just Dory and Bilbo....we watched with glee and 

happiness as Arty and Jakey joined the pack.

Dad has one

Mom has none

As for me, I'm happy alone.

Human sis is an only and that is no baloney!

She has never been lonely.

She has always been friendly and rarely alone

Once she spent the night with Michelle

Oh me, oh my she came home with woeful tales

Michelle and her bro 

A bathroom did share

Sis said his lack of care with water, soap and toothpaste 

gave her a scare.

Sis was glad to return home and quite glad to be an only.

You'll love this Agent Vanessa gave us her card and guess what
she is a DOUBLE Agent.....
That means she can set up 'puters like ours or
she could build us a computer.  

We are so very thankful for all our blogging friends.  All of you are always so
willing to help in anyway.  You are the best.

MS we thank you for telling us about jpg.  We were using Picmonkey
which supposedly saves photos to jpg.  But ours came up blank.
So we edited them in Pizap and Pizap..saved with jpg at the end and
yippee skippy

WORDY WEDNESDAY

Our new computer is all set up; however, mom has not tried to download new photos or prepare a new blogpost.  Photos are stored differently so THANK GOODNESS she has about a week or more of blog post already prepared.  Our Geek Agent Vanessa was very very efficient and helpful

so we feel confident all will be okey dokey.  Good thing mom is retired she has plenty of time

Thursday April 13,  rec'd the below email from my friends DownUnder Bella, Dui and Roxy

This showed up on Facebook this morning:  Yikes upon checking we saw that the 
original photo is not showing here.  it was a Tuxie cat politely sitting in a square
taped on the floor

​You are the only cat we know that can test this theory.

Please test for us.  (We think putting it in a sun puddle will be cheating...)

 Madi is food driven...the only time she got in it was when I 

put her food dish in it.

Madi is correct she is not like OTHER cats...she marches to a beat in her head that

no one else can hear.
