THEY MAKE ME 

SMILE!!

Cats keep their emotions a secret they always look the

same.  Once they 'decide' you can join their pride you KNOW

just how they are feeling.

We were owned by cats for about 31 years total.

I cannot tell you HOW many times visitors (non cat folks) would say 

oh they don't look very happy/friendly/like they are enjoying life.

For a while I tried to explain but finally I just decided it was my secret.

Dogs wear their emotions outside you always know how they are feeling.

Having been 100% owned by a might mini Dachshund, Drabble always tickles me.

obviously the cartoonist is owned by one too.

Even nearly 40 years later we still laugh at Toto tales.

Being a Dachshund, he marched to his own drum beat he did not know he was

vertically challenged in his mind he was a Great Dane...he was fearless

and I loved that about him.

When Mom and I checked the bloggie. Mom was happy she’s not the only one who had never noticed the tabby M! 😹 Dad said the M means Mischief, but I’ve decided my M stands for Mr. Magnificent! Mom says I’m getting a little carried away with my handsome self. Teeheehee

Weather in NC is full of surprises:
As we like to say, if you don't like our weather wait 5 minutes it will change.
Today, for your viewing pleasure, I am showing you what
 humidity looks like.
This is NOT rain it is
96% humidity

The temperature last Saturday was 91 with feels like 101.

Featured also are my two house plants (that are miraculously still living).
Sammy the Snake Plant and Jada the Jade Plant.
Recently both were re-potted in to larger quarters.
Which is a good thing.  They get morning sun on the kitchen counters
and a sliver of afternoon sun here.


Ode to Mother Nature

The heat makes me feel beat
It makes me sweat from dawn til dusk.
Sometimes I smell like a musk (ox).

lives Mary a whimsical girl child.

She bids us to join her on the path

to places you and I cannot

Today I join 

I am thankful for my crazy Mind's Eye...there is no telling what
it will post here and for you all putting up with my craziness!!

While we are imagining......

  What would you do?

Yesterday while standing in line at my new favorite store....JoAnn's....

I noticed the lady at the cash register had a sticker about thigh level on her 

capris. It was about 4" in diameter.

 Questions:  Did she know it was there, what was written on it,

should I tell her? 

It was sideways so I turned my head a bit just to see if I could read it.

I could read VISITOR on part of it the other words were too small.

Some folks are sensitive/might think one a busy body for asking telling.

I knew I would want to know.  When she finished her transaction,

I said excuse me, 'is that sticker supposed to be on the left side of your capris?'

She quickly looked down, started laughing as she said absolutely not.

She went on to say it was on a pair of socks?!?

I thought I threw it away. Well I was pleased I told her; however,

it left me wondering why it would have been on socks.
That mystery will remain a mystery!!

Why does my cat have an M on his forehead?

All tabbies have an 'M' marking on their forehead, and on some this mark is very distinct. The 'M' is often referred to as 'the mark of the true tabby'. There are several amusing legends about how tabby cats got their 'M'. ... After a time a small cat with tabby markings jumped into the manger and snuggled next to Jesus.
