On September 20, 2018 Sweet Sassy (Mom’s retirement gift to herself), passed away in her sleep beside Mom’s bed. As anyone who has lost a beloved fur baby knows, the pain was overwhelming.
Exactly one month later, I showed up here on The Hill. Mom wasn’t sure she wanted to open her heart to another fur baby, but I played a little “hard to get”, and she couldn’t resist the challenge.
The past 8 years have been the best of my life, and Mom thanks me every day for coming into her life during such a difficult time.
