Nature Friday and Feline Friday

 Nature Friday host LLB Gang  and Feline Friday  host Comedy Plus

December 6th we had a most rare and exciting sighting while trekking around Shelly Lake.    Four great blue herons in one spot. 

We were some distance away but I zoomed in...clicked quickly.

We walked to a cove just on the other side the the trees hoping for a closer view.

Two flew off.

 

Seeing one makes me smile
Seeing four  makes me lucky

True story

When I was six, our first pet was a

 a handsome Boxer bull named

Duke 

Sometimes when he ate too fast he 

would Puke*.

When moved to a new house, I was eager to meet new friends.

Duke was always by my side. 

He would give anyone who tried to come in the yard that Boxer Look (above).

Many friends could not decide 

how to get passed Duke.

Finally he learned the difference in

friends and foes.

Sometimes he was so happy to see them,

He jumped on their toes.

He loved his family and all our friends.

THE End

*that problem was quickly corrected.  He got small meals 3 times a day.

I googled Ouizi

Louise Jones (née Chen), aka Ouizi, was born and raised in Santa Monica, CA to Shanghainese parents. She is best known for her large scale floral mural installations which can be seen in public spaces throughout the United States, from museums to public parks. The murals often depict site-specific plants and animals, and the techniques are uniquely informed by her education in drawing and printmaking. Her affinity towards botanical subjects continues to grow, stemming from an early introduction to Georgia O’Keeffe and fond memories of picking figs with her grandmother. She currently lives and works in Detroit.
