Ok this is my first tag so here goes: You know the old saying keep your friends close and your enemies in front of you...oh Mom says that isn't how it goes..it is your enemies closer. This picture is of me (Madi) in the back and Harley (Cornish Rex) my human sister's cat, (aka my nephew) in the front. The funny thing about this picture is Harley really likes me, TOO MUCH for his own good!!! I'm usually the one with the potty mouth. I don't like company, I like being the only cat, I'm a diva and I'm proud of it. I expect he was probably yawning in this picutre...I like it because it makes me look like the Angel that is really Harley!!! Sorry Harley... I love you from afar....Madi

My perch is my favorite activity. The higher I can get the better. Mom is always say "Madi don't lean over so far you are going to fall and bust your chin wide open" . Ouch, that would hurt...it must be something peeps do. I have to remind her that I'm a cat and I always land on my feet not my chin...silly mom she worries a lot. Happy dreams, Madi

Chicken Soup for The Soul: Loving our Cats

This is a coffee table book. I pick it up every so often and each time I smile. Nearly every short story has a quote at the beginning followed by touching tributes to cats. I know I'm a crazy cat lady but really and truly cats are very special, all have their own personalities and are good companions. Madi has a special meow, that I only hear in the morning, she greets me with the signature cat greeting which is their tail very straight and vertical with the very tip curved. It looks like a question mark. Madi is indeed the ultimate Diva cat but she is also a very sweet kitty and we are fortunate to have her in our lives. Mom's favorite lunch spot...

Carolina Cafe and Bakery is absolutely my happy place. I love the colors, the choice pleasant dining either in or outside. My favorite sandwich is the Carolina Cafe Turkey Breast...oh and the cafe dressing is to die for and unlimited trips to their delicious beverage bar. Their sweet iced tea is my favorite. Oh and most importantly all dogs are welcomed to dine with their owners on the extensive patio that also wraps around the left side of the building.

Monday Memories Milky Way

September 1986-July 2000

Milky-Way(MW) lived with my peeps for 14 1/2 years. He was their first feline and I truly thank him for paving a very easy road for me to follow. His face was absolutely symmetrical. He was a perfect example of all the beautiful animals available at our local SPCA!! MW was the ultimate lap kitty. I'm told he was very laid back and a 'man' of few meows. All who know me, will agree...I'm nothing like MW. I march to my own meow. I am told within the first month of living here, I had already meowed more that MW did in his lifetime. I do agree though he was one fine looking male feline. Madi

Whoopee it is starting to rain in Dixie and boy to we need it....as you can see I'm thrilled!! It will be a good day, rain, clouds, the peeps are leaving shortly for a day trip...all this mean lots of good snoozing for the Diva.....Madi
