Happy Tuesday Table Tale

Last week after visiting Cammie and Maggie's blog, I decided to stroll over to their
Mom's Quilting Blog, Bags by KZK, dated January 17, 2020.  She posted the most
adorable and EASY PEASY Table runner she made for her Mom, which she saw on
Mama Sparks Blog here

This is such a fun and quick project, called Square in a Square.   No cutting fabric for the blocks
You use 10" and 5" precut  squares
The blocks can be made straight or staggered.  By staggering them you don't have
the thick seams which would be hard to quilt around.
You all might remember the little triangles on the end. The are called
Prairie Points and you might recognize the border.  I've used that fabric several times.

The backing fabric of apples was selected because the colors match my dining room chairs.

Below are close ups of each square

I made it for this table.  The top was made by my son-in-law, for the base of the table
which was his Grandmother's vintage Singer treadle sewing machine.
His mom doesn't sew, she did not want the base.  I actually learned to sew on my
Annie Ma's (maternal grandmother) machine just like this.
I think the quilted runner compliments the vintage base.
My son-in-law also made the tealight holders on the table.

As always, I thank you for indulging me by reading about my new obsession, Quilting.
