In Purrsuit of Flavors: BREAD

Today's challenge/subject is

BREAD

I thank Da Phenny and Chef Shoko for
hosting.

While we are all very very hungry...I'd like to share a most delicious recipe I discovered
in the TV Guide...of all places, where I also learned a new word:  Baconfidence
Bacon Cranberry Scones with citrus Basil Butter

 Ingredients:

I had the ingredients for the Butter but I did not make it.  WHY?
Let me just say these scones are delicious w/o butter.
Like any good chef....I tasted one!!
WOW...the bacon and cranberry balance each other with sweet and salty
and the Parmesan sprinkle on top...YUMMMY
I didn't use parchment paper...just a cookie sheet with a bit of PAM sprayed on it.

Selfie of Chef and Scones

They are uniquely shaped according to the Chef's discrepancy...LOL
Next Batch I will work on getting them cut more into triangle shape.

Tuesday Trail Tails

hosted by Comedy Plus

Lake Lynn Trail is a 2.6 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Raleigh, North Carolina that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

This is my header photo too.

I was so excited about the trip around the Trail at Lake Lynn (which we took on 4/14).
I wrote HER from Downunder Daisy this email exactly as it is below.  See if you see what SHE saw.

Tobi
The number of critters out this morning was amazing.  Mr. and Mrs. Mallard and their twelve ...12 ducklings.  The geese that were formerly Canadian but are now NC natives, a Great glue heron.  Lots of puppies walking turtles oh my

SHE is a retired teacher.  I think SHE was wearing HER teacher glasses when SHE read it she replied:

Oh My....a GLUE heron?   Puppies walking turtles?  Cecilia are you having Happy Hour by any chance?

I replied oh you found out my secret, this is hilarious I think I will use it on the first Lake Lynn post.  Proof positive commas are impawtant and proof reading
I meant Great Blue Heron and puppies walking, and turtles.

First post  Lake Lynn is dedicated to K9's

We did see lots of puppies walking people...but not walking turtles!!

We saw more pups; however, they were coming toward us.  We thought their peeps might not want their photo taken

Of course Kitties must be represented here too~~
This was 100% how Angel Madi felt.

Sparks on Awww Monday

This quote popped up on my iPad screen while playing
Words With Friends.
It definitely made me say Awww and was quiet appropriate for the
times in which we are living

A little trivia about Mary Shelley (you may or may not know)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankenstein

Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus is a novel written by English author Mary Shelley (1797–1851) that tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who creates a hideous sapient creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment.

FYI: the bottom right photo is a turtle sunning on a limb.
When I downloaded I thought it was an alligator. MOL
