In December 2020, we were driving toward home on Glenwood Ave.
I asked my husband if he saw that? He said no, what was it? I saw what appeared to be a red arch shaped door with a itty bitty Christmas wreath. All at the bottom of large tree in the median. For the next few weeks I had no luck finding it. Then the monsoons
of January kept us in and not seeing much that was picture worthy.
Early February I finally saw it again...BUT once again it was raining. However, the door now had a heart on it. Good news, I remembered exactly where it was located, across the street a church.
Wednesday, February 24, we parked in the church lot so we could get a better photo. The red arch door also has a door knob, a heart wreath and there are tiny lights
around the door.
Now for a cropped close up
Someone cut a piece of wood the exact shape of the area in the tree to make the door
I don't know who the kind soul(s) is who created this happy place, but I THANK THEM.
Now I'm wondering if it will have a theme each month.
I'll be checking and of course I'll snap a photo.
that is such a sweet idea... it's amazing to know that some people still have imagination and dreams and ideas to create something so special...
ReplyDeleteBut who lives behind the door?
ReplyDeleteI just love this whole idea....and I hope there's a little "wreath" or decoration on it for every month. CLEVER - and something everyone can get a smile from when they see it!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
How cute! This must be where the leprechaun lives!
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet! That would make my day. How kind the person is that has done it... and imaginative!
ReplyDeleteCute idea. I like that door.
ReplyDeleteY'all have a great weekend.
I love tiny anything's and a tiny door and especially a tiny red door is absolutely precious. There might be somebody living behind that door that makes cookies
ReplyDeleteThat's really something and I think they bake cookies in there too!
ReplyDeleteThat's totally adorable. We MOL'd 'cause we live on Glenwood Ave only in a different state.

You found a fairy house! We can't wait to see how it changes. Maybe there will be a shamrock on it next?
ReplyDeleteOur neighborhood has several fairy tree homes, but this one in the median is super!
ReplyDeleteI wonder who lives behind that clever little door? An elf, or a gnome?
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, how adorable!!! We were thinking along the same lines as Chester, maybe a faerie palace?
ReplyDeleteThose are the things we need more of in the world! Thanks so much we hope to see more
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute. Plus it is your favorite color. :) XO
ReplyDeleteThat is so very cool! We need more people to do random acts of beauty and wonder! Have a marvellously happy day!
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome! I love it.
ReplyDeleteSomeone designed multiple fairy homes in trees with doors like that along a trail in our city. But sadly they drew too much attention and the city made the person remove them:(
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
That is so sad. Nothing personal meant, but I am glad I don't live there where such sweetness is "punished".
DeleteI love that. It is awesome.
ReplyDeleteOMD, that is just PAWSOME!!!! nows, are the Keebler elves gonna pop out with some cookies???? asking for a friend.....
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
Did you knock? Did you check to see if there was a plain, servicable back door?
ReplyDeleteYou know what? I think this lovely person was totally bored and thought "Hey I am going to do this and change the door every month! It will entertain everyone!" Cheers and have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThat is sweet and a genuinely loving thing whoever that is, did.
