Feline and Nature Friday

Nature Friday host LLB Gang  and Feline Friday  host Comedy Plus

The below feline funny came from Kit,

Mom of Kat, Rocky and Pup

My roving photo journalist and gal pal, Janice sent this gorgeous photo to me.  Below is the email that came with it.  Al is her husband.

Al walked out to get mail and this hawk was on our driveway- he let Al walk right by him and then flew onto the mailbox post and watched Al as he walked to mailbox.  Didn’t fly away until Al opened the box!!!!  He must be a “hawk whisperer” 😂

The fall colors in Raleigh have been spectacular this year.
Each time I walk up the stairs, this is my view.  Angel Madi's Loo, with a view,  was right under this skylight too.

Thankful and Thoroughly Poetic Thursday #43

  Today we join

Thankful for all Veterans who served, are serving and will serve and protect their countries.

   Two SPOILED CATS,

Angel Sammy and Teddy find such inspiring photos for us

This is our inspiration for today

The winter of 1973
It snowed  A LOT, three weeks in a row!
It never warmed up enough to melt
To stay warm
you needed a pelt
The side walks were shoveled
snow thrown to the side.
By week three the system had moved on.
Out into the frozen tundra went we three.
Dad
Mom and 18 month old toddler
We walked gingerly
On the shoveled sidewalk.
Our daughter was dwarfed by
mounds of frozen snow on either side.
Her eyes sparkled
Her world turned magically white
above her head and to her left and right.
It was quite a sight!!

Side note: We lived in an apartment complex.
Maintenance shoveled the snow off all the side walks.
The front yards were were at least 2 1/2 feet deep with frozen
snow.  Which made it impossible to play or build a snowman.

Happy Tuesday with Cody

Hosted by Comedy Plus

On many early morning walks I see this handsome gentle guy.  Words could never describe how happy it makes me.

CODY our neighborhood's resident K9-patriarch

Cody November 8th
I know Cody enjoys his head and chin scratches A LOT.  However, I am honored to be able to love on this gentle....dog

Cody has the most beautiful, kind chocolate brown eyes

It makes me happy to live in a neighborhood full of animal lovers too.

From a distance I was positive this was a  real dog digging in the flower bed.  It was NOT.  It gave me happy giggles.

Sparks and Awww Monday

All of today's photos are from early October when we took a trip to Cedar Creek Gallery

Cedar Creek Gallery is located in Creedmoor, NC
a lovely rural part of NC,  which used to be referred to as the middle of nowhere. Years ago there were many farms along the route. Many old barns are still proudly standing.  We do find ourselves in the middle nowwhere.

 Thank you to our
