OMCs You will never believe......

.....the joyous and thrilling thing that has happened!!

Here is the rest of the story as told to Mom by my human Sis aka mom to Frisco!!!!!

Friends who 'speak' cat can see that Frisco is totally smitten and wants to be friends. For my K9 friends who don't 'speak' cat, anytime a cat presents his/her tummy that is a sign of submission and wanting to be friends.

Saturday November 14 sis and BIL went in to PetCo for a bag of kitten food for Frisco.  They came out with a sister for Frisco and kitten and cat food.   They were not looking for a cat on Saturday.....they did have plans to adopt a second cat.
The rescue was strategically placed at the cat food aisle. Sis said Mia was on display at PetCo with a local cat rescue group. The group periodically visits the county animal shelter and will often take kittens/cats that have been there a long time  in hopes of getting the a home.  (The Co. Shelter only keep them about 6 weeks) When sis and BIL heard that she was rescued from the Co. Shelter and that she was older (~1 1/2 years) it tugged at Sis's heart. Mom told me sis has always wanted 2 cats.  Mia is a Tortoiseshell cat she was named Tori by the rescue group, but SIS queen of giving purrfect names, changed her name Mia.  She is rather petite
only 7 lbs.  Oh and her back right foot is all tan the rest of her feets are black.   Mom and I think Mia is simply gorgeous and for sure
she is one lucky kitty!!

Mia is very gentle, friendly but doesn't know what to think of Frisco. LOL He is a wild child. Mia and Frisco have been gradually getting acquainted under the supervision of SIS and BIL. Frisco follows Mia all over the house presenting his tummy and they have touched noses once or twice.  Mia is for sure warming up to the wild child and the meet and greets are going very well.

We leave you with this quote that is always at the bottom of one mom's friend's emails:
"By adopting an animal, you have saved the lives of two; the one you have adopted and the one you have made room for at the shelter."      Think Adoption First!

Tilted Thursday Tale, Window Update

First of all these are new photos of me in with
my sunpuddle.  I'm convinced my sunpuddle
takes yoga.  It gets in the craziest positions
which makes me have to maneuver my
girly body all kinds of ways to be sure I get
every ounce of sun.  It stayed at this angle about 20 minutes
then all of a sudden it started to slip away but I hung on tight
with all my might

determined to not miss a moment....
'cause I have learned the sun is a fair weather friend and
will desert me in a flash.
THE END
Breaking (not the windows) news...
OMCs the window installation started upstairs which is where my safe house is located.  Since the man was walking back and forth by my safe house, Mom and I sequestered ourselves in my
'blog office'!  She moved my essentials into my office. It was warm outside  she opened the storage room door.  I have a window perch in there so all was good!!  We might do the same thing today.
Mom is still glad she has the kennel all set up just in case
Mom took lots of photos we'll share them next week.

Windows Wednesday

Top of the morning friends!
Today is a busy day here at the homestead.  The peeps have been trying to get new windows installed for nearly a month but the rain
backed up the installers.  Finally it is our turn.
SO.....THIS IS GOOD AND BAD NEWS
THERE WILL BE MEN ALL OVER MY HOUSE in every room ALL THE WINDOWS WILL BE open (I hope no birds get in here) at one point.
IN 2006 WHEN THE KITCHEN WAS GUTTED, I STAYED WITH MY GRANDPEEPS and I got really spoiled.
My grandpeeps are gone now so Mom had to come up with a safe place for me......as they say DownUnder....
NO WORRIES
I HAVE A SAFE HOUSE.  I ACTUALLY LIKE IT...CAUSE IT IS kinda like a Box with lots of windows.  Are you ready to see where I will spend the day today?

TA DA........

MY K9 FRIENDS MIGHT RECOGNIZE THIS....CAUSE IT IS ACTUALLY A  DOG KENNEL FOR A HUGE DOG...
I HAVE HAD IT FOR A WHILE. EVERY SO OFTEN

MOM PUTS FOOD IN THERE I GO IN FREELY AND
I've even used the 'facilities'!! MOL MOL

And I sleep in there.

I guess you could say I've gotten used to it...and I
go and come.  Now for today I hope all
the banging and knocking and strange smells
don't bother me. Obviously the door will be closed and latched
and Mom has a bungee cord for extra security.  She is worried I might be able to slide the latch.
In my youth I opened doors. ::seriously::
ALL THE COMFORTS I NEED FOR ONE
DAY AND MOM WILL BE VISITING ME LOTS.
I heard rumblings there will be some painting going on next week.  I'll be here again.
It will be my home away from home!!
Mom hopes to carry on with my blog visits as normal but if we might be MIA.

TUESDAY TALE

Mom has lost her mind!
Recently I was caught napping...on the guest bed... BUT
I had rearranged the pillows.  She looked me square in the eyeballs and said,

'you better vacuum all those furs off sissy's pillow when you leave!'  I looked her square in the eyeballs while saying ,
'ain't gonna happening, sissy didn't vacuum her cooties off the bed when she left!' AND MY NAME IS

MADI NOT MAID!!!

Sometimes Mom is bossy!!!
FYI: Sis and BIL are coming for a visit this weekend
This is our little wild Dogwood...it has been beautiful this fall.
The leaves appear to be floating...AND I can see it from
the dining room table

PSA:  Mom and Kasi had a great walk yesterday.
Mom said Kasi was at her feet in a nanosecond ready to walk and wagging all over.

MondayMews: Walking with a Wolfie

Hidey ho Furiends of Madi.....thank goodness
she only visited me via Pizap...I've never met a
cat in the Furs!!!
First I'd like to thank mom of Madi for being my
dog walking nanny.  I must tell you all
I was a tad hesitant on our first walk but
dang the Old Gray Mare did a fantastic job of taking me where I wanted to go.

Note from the Old Gray Mare!!   This was the first time  I have walked a dog in 37 years.
(For those new to the blog..our first family pet was a might mini Dachshund named Toto!!)
Kasi was used to seeing me in the yard.  The first day I went in her house she was a tad confused.
It took about 20 minutes of her walking between the den and kitchen.  I was sitting on the floor each
time she got closer to me.  Finally she approached me with her head down, I assume so I could attach the leash.  Off we went on day one in the rain.  These photos  are from day two
(11/12/15) sunny and 73 degrees!!  This afternoon walk is good for me and good for Kasi!!
