The middle of May I posted that I ' might'

have a new crochet project.  It has gotten off to a slow start but it has started.

My next crochet project 'might' be learning or attempting to learn

63 patterns.  All are 7" squares. 

Left to right 3, 7" squares

single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet

each 7" square is finished off with single crochets around the border

3 single crochets in each corner of the square.

Thoroughly Thankful and Poetic Thursday #214

 

 Thankful Thursday hosted

THANKFUL FOR ALEX and his crew of very handy, friendly and careful young men who arrived at 8AM  Monday, June 2, 2025. 

His truck says, painting, drywall, power washing, repairs, and MORE.

Very very thankful for the care they took while painting our front door AND REPLACING WEATHER STRIPPING, he painted half bath door, and pantry door.   They put plastic everywhere.  They also power washed our deck, put a new railing on the right side of our front steps. AND THEY VACUUMED after they finished!!!!!

Freshly painted door the color is Dignity Blue.

MOL MOL Not RED.  But I do love this color

 Since his truck said "and more". 

I asked him if they would do two things that were not on our original 'to do list'.

1. Change a light bulb in the guest room downstairs. The ceiling is 9'.  We have a step stool with handles on either side but we don't climb that high.

2. take a very heavy fire and water proof safe out to our trash can for pick up. HE picked that thing up like it was a cotton ball.

Our new fire and water proof safe this week.

Dear Auntie HiC, 

I heard what sounded like an explosion in the guest room & dashed upstairs to investigate. 

You will NOT believe what I saw!

 

Rocky was precariously perched atop a mountain of STUFF previously packed away (hidden) the closet & cedar chest. 

This is embarrassing to admit, but Mom’s a hoarder! 🙀

Not all over the house, just in the guest room closet & chest!  😹 

Warning: Some may find this disturbing! 😹

Update: She’s making lots of progress, and we will be donating lots of STUFF to our or local animal shelter thrift store.

guess what?! I ordered mom a t-shirt from Ms. Ann 

at "Ann's Snap Edit Scrap" you can visit her

When I saw the “Cat Mom” shirt on Ms. Ann’s blog I knew I had to get it for my mom to match her hat.  

The package was nicely wrapped in plastic & tissue paper, with a cute sticker. The beautifully designed tshirt  is  Gildan, which is a high quality brand. This transaction was very easy. (Ms. Ann thought she was communicating with Mom the entire time!) 😹

If any of you kitties or pups are looking for a nice surprise for your special person, I highly recommend Ms. Ann!

I give her 10 paws! 🐾 🐾🐾🐾🐾

 Oh yeah, and it turns out that Ms. Ann lives in the same county in Pennsylvania where Mom’s daddy was raised. Small world!
