Nature and Feline Friday Kat and Rocky

Thanks Comedy Plus for hosting Feline Friday

Dearest Auntie HiC
Mom has been a busy 🐝 with Fall cleaning, and “kitten-proofing” the house. 😹
Kat and I are making progress.
We walk outside together,

and Kat doesn’t run from me when I’m wearing leash in house.
Can you see him behind the chair?

I can tell Mom is purr-oud  of me. 😻

❤️ Rocky Your Orange (or am I Ginger?) Nephew

Dearest Nephews Rocky and Kat...
Thank you so very much for the update and adorable photos.
It appears to me you are gradually getting more Ginger under tones but it could be the light.  Either way you are gawgeous and I'm so proud of you for taking things slower with Kat your brother...brothers are a rare commodity and OMCs you have 2!!!  We are all very purr-oud of you
I hope you boyz are making sure Mom paces herself with the cleaning.  Taking you all out for walks is a good way to  rest every now and then...
Lovingly your Auntie HiC...

Thanks LLB Gang for hosting Nature Friday

I am happy to have LOTS of help from my nephew's Mom Kit, and my roving photo journalist, Janice.  Their kindness allows me to pawticipate in Nature and Feline Friday

Today's photos are from Frankie and Ernie's Mom Lana
Her commentary is below the photo!!!

These two have been hanging around together for weeks.   They USED to live under the dog ramp.   I don't know when they moved up on the porch.
Sometimes they would come out together when I would sit on the second step waiting for Frankie and Ernie  to do their yard work.
When Frankie and Ernie came back, they just walked around the toads and the toads ignored them.      Pretty funny to watch.

AND BREAKING NEWS...MOM OF FnE sent me these two gorgeous
photos she took on October 1, of a RAINBOW
I don't remember the last time I saw a rainbow
Thank you Lana
PS Lana and Frankie and Ernie say Hi

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday #39

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS

Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is today's inspiration

Oh to be a Sugar Plum Fairy
I'd bide my time, keep out of sight,
until the dark of night.
The next eight hours
would be my delight...
I would get my sugar fix
and surely have the
SWEETEST DREAMS
come daylight.

Wordless Wednesday (not)

Hosted by Comedy Plus

I am fascinated by words, names, cities,. Their meanings, origins.
I am addicted to Words with Friends, and all word puzzles.
Each Sunday, our newspaper has numerous word puzzles. The word search puzzles have a theme.
Recently it was Diner Lingo.  OMCs it is like an entirely different language.
There were no meanings so of course I asked GiGi Google for definitions of
Diner Lingo. What amazed me were so many of the diner lingo words were
much longer than the original word.

For your viewing pleasure I first made a PUZZLE out of words

Here is a list of diner lingo and definitions
I ran out of space on my list so the last few are typed.

     in Atlanta
27. Wax: American Cheese
28. Whiskey: Rye Bread
29. Whiskey down: Rye toast
30. Wreck'em: Scrambled eggs.

Happy Tuesday Tale/Tail starring Baker

First of all I apologize for the window screen photos
but sometimes you just have a moment to grab something this Happy.

Baker (named after a football player) is the grand-dog of our next door neighbors.
He is a handsome Golden Retriever with a billion dollar happy-tude.
He spends 2 or 3 days a week with Grandma L.
I first met him when he was just an armful of puppy with a gleeful bark, which by the way he still has.   (I can't tell you how many times I bite my tongue to keep from calling him
Barker when I see him).

So these photos were taken Monday, September 21, when Baker was with Grandma L.
Trash pick up for our neighborhood is bright an early Tuesday morning. Everyone usually has their bins on the curb on Monday night.
Baker and Grandma L had just returned from a walk, she unhooked his leash dropped it in the yard where Baker was sitting while she was getting the bins to the curb.
All of a sudden Baker became possessed he jumped up grabbed his leash in his mouth and started the most gleeful prancing and running and jumping I have ever seen.  I hope these photos
give you a Happy Tuesday.

This is the end of a very Happy Tuesday tale/tail.
What a great PLAY BOW😍.

Shortly after I prepared this post I read Drabble with Wally the Dachshund
I think it fully embraces the joy dogs find every day!!
Cartoonist Brian Fagan is surely owned by a Dachshund

Cedar Creek Gallery day tripping

Last Tuesday we took a day trip to Cedar Creek Gallery for the
annual Glass Pumpkin Show..
This was our first trip out of our County since January 2020.
It is one of our favorite places to visit.
They were only allowing 10 visitors at a time.
top left photo was the first thing we saw.
Each visitor is given a visitor tag.  Once all 10 are gone one would wait in their car.
We were the first two visitors.

Each year we buy one or two for our collection these are our two new pumpkins

We always select ones with very interesting stems

Below is a picture of our Pumpkin Patch
(top photo)

We also bought one for favorite SIS and BIL of Angel Madi...
pictured above.  They like interesting stems too.

Cedar Creek Gallery is in Creedmoor, NC which is about 20 miles from our home.
Such a lovely ride.  I'll be posting other photos from the ride and outside the
Gallery...there is lots of art too
