FLASHBACK JUNE 20, 2015

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Ellen came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. I avoid going outside after dusk like the plague. Mosquitoes see me as their buffet. My blood type is O+ learned years ago that is their favorite meal.

2. I hope to find lots of time to work on my 'crochet project' this summer.

3. My favorite subject in school was home economics, I took it for 5 years

my teacher was excellent.  She taught me so many skills that I still use.

4. I wish there was a way  for adults to learn to not worry about what other adults think. And spend more time remembering how it felt to look at world thru the eyes  of children.

THE REST OF THE STORY

This episode of “Fun Facts with Rocky” is concerning your post on June 11, about the “Little Girl” statue  in Cameron Village in Raleigh.

I found it enchanting & quickly set out to know more about this precious piece of art.  After a quick Google search this is what I learned.

Unfortunately, the sculpture is out of our price range & not available in the United States. 😹

I would love to know how this adorable young lady found her way to Raleigh. I wonder if she likes grits! 😹

Dearest Rocky I too found the little girl precious. It is so life like and her facial expressions amazing.  The braid looks so real, the lace on the dress was so delicate.  Hard to believe it was all bronze.  ‼️Thank you ‼️for the you are an excellent researching.  MOL MOL YOU ARE A FUN-gi. When Auntie HiC was working with international students, the first thing many of them asked about was G R I T S...I kept a supply of Instant Grits in my office (Cheddar Cheese flavored) and of course grits must have butter.  I often made a bowl for any who were brave.  I was quite impressed that most tried them, some liked them, so did not but they TRIED.

As for the little girl liking them, I bet our friends don't know this fun fact about what GRITS means:

Three Musketeers vs Larry Lizard

We had a bit of a rodeo here  recently.

Apparently, a baby dragon (Mom said it was a little lizard) found its way into the house. 

Mom was squealing because she feared for the lizard's life, while we courageously corralled the beast in the robot vac! 

After much excitement, Mom was able to “herd” us into the powder room, capture the lizard under a bowl, & safely return it to the great outdoors!

It was fun while it lasted! 😹😹😹
